well, my initial thought was hell no, but then my 2nd thought asks is humanity even capable of playing God...Predestination - bad. Destiny - good. How can we even make that determination until it would be too late? Humanity needs to be a transcendant species. Right now, playing God would only portend doom? Or does the dichotomy need to proceed in tandem... I say go for it and let God sort em' out!

Our arrogance is our undoing. So perhaps when we learn we won't do what we shouldn't.

There is a philosophy that what we have been taught is upside down, inside out, back to front and completely untrue. Given that and considering it, if there is a hell, why would there be? Would the overseeing entity not do its best to out-do its opposition by being kinder, more loving to us? If there were an over-ruling god who had a son born to die on a cross to pay for our sins, why is our world in the state it is in, where there is war and other chronic devastation and every evidence of sin? Why are there different religions always at war? Why would a god claim to be jealous, when it had created us - certainly not one I can believe in! None of what we have been taught can possibly be true. There is a philosophy that claims we are born into death, not life.

Yes, DT. Definitely needs to be thought about, and it seems to be done outside the box.
