Gosh, thanks. I don't know what to say. Being around like minded people makes the words and ideas flow much more easily! I appreciate your what you have written too!

They would act as conduits between the spirit and human world, bringing gifts of introspection that could solve the family’s problems. Upon arrival, the healers were regaled with food. They would leave as they came: on reindeer-drawn sleds.

I'd heard about the shamanic origins of Santa many years ago. This adds good information for me.

Paul Stamets talked about eating some of that red and white mushroom and how it was not a good experience for him. It apparently can cause a person to keep repeating the same action over and over again, which can be quite dangerous.

I imagine the shamans knew the appropriate amounts.
