Julian Assange revealing war crimes is the real reason for extradition.

Unable to be convicted for journalism, he stands accused of trumped-up charges in what is the trial of the century.

Look deeper into his 'motivations' not what he claimed he represented. If he had a 'clean' desire to inform the world of actions violating international laws and if it had been his primary motivation, he would be on my good guy list, but it wasn't, he targeted a 'segment' of American political views and actions in order to hurt those who held them. Well, ok, but then he passed information that was beneficial to the Russian government. It doesn't work for me. It is still possible that the charges of pedophilia were unfounded and used as a mechanism to 'hook' him. Ok, that is what the alt-right believes and is the most overwhelming reason that I don't believe any of it. The 'enlightenment' of the alt-right is complete, however, I would call it a scary level of brainwashing.

Are you claiming that he would be a Russian asset? Would you say that about Snowden too?

No, I think Snowden was/is sincere. He did the right thing, I believe the princess did, too ... (just teasing about that) ...

Actually, after just going mentally wandering i remembered what my initial feelings were about the princess. I think she was an American agent and it is possible through that avenue that they received intel on Assange. In fact, that is making a lot of sense to me right now. Recall, that Obama pardoned her.

He was never charged on anything related to pedophilia. He had allegedly had unprotected sex with two women ─ separately ─ while they had objections about the unprotected aspect. In Sweden, this is tantamount to rape. And so the Swedish government demanded his arrest and extradition. However, both women have in the meantime withdrawn the charges.

Julian Assange is not a saint, and there is a chance that he's on somebody's payroll, but he did do the right thing in publishing that information, and those charges of "rape" in Sweden were of course a setup by the CIA.

I always had the suspicion that those charges were fake or at least the timing was too convenient and I agree, he did the right thing.

In my book that is tantamount to a heroic deed, but in light of new evidence I might change my mind about him. I think Assange is being treated inhumanely and the US government including Obama and Trump can go to hell for that.

Hey there! I’m Jane. I joined a little while ago after but this is my first time posting! My understanding re Assange and this release was that he had made a deal with Trump in order to have the charges and extradition orders against him dropped. Trump reneged on the deal When Assange wouldn’t provide the name of the person who gave him access to the information (thought by RWNJs to be Seth Rich). Can’t comment on the veracity of this info, I didn’t look into it too deeply, but it would make sense that Assange would pick the side most likely to help him. The reality is that given Assange‘s condition at the time, it probably wouldn’t even have been him that made any decisions relating to it anyway.

You would think that someone with his credentials would have managed a ménage à trois ... just a joke, but honestly he has too much 'me' in his personal formula. Truth is, whistleblowers have been blowing the whistle for quite awhile against the 'good guys' ... Recall 'Deep Throat'? No fanfare, no drumroll, just a properly oriented moral compass and a well developed sense of propriety.

    Jane,

It's you. Fantastic. Welcome, welcome welcome! I think Assange is a good guy. His info on the Clintons was spun to high heaven by the alt right nutcases, but there are a few gems in there that absolutely crucify them, and it appears to be right from the horse's mouth. And, btw, it has nothing to do with pedophilia, etc...
