Remote viewing offers incredible experiences however it comes with inherent risks. On this episode we discuss the strange experiences of some high level remote viewers and their visions of "The Great War" and the "Death Traps".

Rather Superb Tour of Brixton - London History and Culture

Joolz Guides - London History Walks - Travel Films

In this rather excellent walking tour of Brixton Joolz shows how the area has changed from fields and farm land in the 19th century to a multicultural bustling hub of activity.

Brixton was home to David Bowie, John Major and many of the people who arrived from the Caribbean on the Windrush in 1948. Since then Brixton has been the heart of the Afro-Caribbean community in London where you can find the Black Cultural Archive and Brixton Market with culturally diverse shops and food. Also home to the famous Blacker Dread record store and Pop Brixton, a market made of shipping containers.

We meet poet Naturalie Wright and poet and community activist Michael Groce who recalls the Brixton riots and how they started as well as how the place has changed over the years. Brixton Academy has one of London's largest stages and has hosted most of the famous bands you can name over the years.

Visit the house where David Bowie was born and also his mural which has become a shrine. Brixton also was home to the UK's first department store and Electric Avenue, the first market street to be lit by electricity.

There's even an underground river which had a coffin floating down it, the Ambrose Chapel from Alfred Hitchcock's The Man Who Knew Too Much and a functioning windmill!

I watched a movie the other day called "The Horse Girl" who believes she is a clone of her grandmother. Naturally, she is institutionalized, she escapes dresses up as her grandmother goes to a golf course and lays down in the grass...totally crazy movie. The last scene shows her being drawn up into a UFO. The punch line is that in the movie there is a scene where a radio starts playing bizarre sounding voices which isn't speaking a human language. About a year and a half ago I posted about how my TV started doing the very same thing. It was weird, I'd never heard anything like it before.

Anyway, I know a movie emulating non-human voices is hardly an affirmation of the 'truly' strange...but, it was strange

    A tale of two families

    Parasite

Official Trailer (2019) Bong Joon Ho Film

Bong Joon-ho brings his singular mastery home to Korea in this pitch-black modern fairytale.

Meet the Park Family: the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim Family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist, to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide "indispensable" luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household.

When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims' newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks. By turns darkly hilarious and heart-wrenching, Parasite showcases a modern master at the top of his game.

    Question

    Meanwhile out of Africa ...

    Day of the locust ...

A desert locust is seen feeding on a plantation in a grazing land in Somalia. December 22, 2019.

“Swarms big as cities”: UN chief says locust fight must intensify

The United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Saturday called for intensified international efforts to deal with a locust outbreak that has affected large parts of the African continent.

“The UN has issued an urgent appeal for assistance. I ask the international community to respond with speed and generosity to ensure an effective response and control the infestation while we still have the chance,” Guterres said on the sidelines of the 33rd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the AU in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa.

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on Tuesday disclosed that the Horn of Africa (HoR) region is the worst desert locust affected area from the three hot-spots of threatening locust activity globally.

According to the FAO, the increasing desert locust swarms in Ethiopia and Somalia have continued to migrate into Kenya, where they spread to 14 northern, central and southwest counties, reaching within 200 km of northeast Uganda and southeast South Sudan.

Guterres said the locust swarms affecting many parts of Africa are unprecedented in size and scope, with climate change playing a big part in aggravating the locust crisis.

“Today locust swarms are as big as major cities and it’s getting worse by the day. There is also a link between climate change and the unprecedented locust crisis plaguing Ethiopia and East Africa.

“Warmer seas mean more cyclones generating the perfect breeding ground for locusts,” said the UN Secretary General.

The desert locust (Schistocerca gregaria), which is considered as the most dangerous of the nearly one dozen species of locusts, is a major food security peril in desert areas across 20 countries, stretching from west Africa all the way to India, covering nearly 16 million square kilometers, according to the UN.

Billie Eilish Debuts James Bond Theme ‘No Time to Die’

Song will be featured in 25th Bond film

    54 moments ...

    Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO6wDBss8PI

Billie Eilish has released “No Time to Die,” the latest James Bond theme song that she co-wrote (with her brother and collaborator Finneas) and recorded for the upcoming 007 film of the same name.

The contemplative piano-driven track features Eilish’s signature haunting whisper before hitting a string-drenched crescendo toward the song’s latter half. Matched with tense, somber lyrics, the song fits in with the extensive Bond movie song canon. “Fool me once, fool me twice,” she sings. “You’ll never see me cry, there’s just no time to die.”

Eilish, at 18, is now the youngest person to write and record a Bond theme song, joining the ranks of Sam Smith, Adele, Tina Turner, Madonna and Wings.

“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way,” Eilish said in a statement. “To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”

Last week, Eilish performed the In Memoriam tribute at the 2020 Academy Awards ceremony, covering the Beatles’ “Yesterday.” The pop star swept the Grammy Awards this year, taking home all four major awards: Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. She also performed her song “When the Party’s Over” on the telecast.

No Time to Die, starring Daniel Craig as James Bond, opens in theaters April 10th.
