A few of us have attributed 10km depth events with "human intervention", today I'm open to the possibility that the cause may actually be found elsewhere. And so I'm interesting in what anyone else here may think about it.

I think it's certainly very plausible, just as I also believe that what is now termed and hyped as climate change could be related to solar activity. If HAARP can be used — even though this is officially disputed — to create earthquakes, then the sun, which is a gazillion times more powerful, could certainly cause earthquakes to occur.
