Erdogan has been supporting ISIS, the CIA's puppet in Syria which has been antagonizing Russia. In fact ISIS's arms and other supplies have been pouring across the Turkish border to Aleppo. Also remember that Turkey shot down a Russian plane, resulting in the death of a Russian pilot.

That was just from April of this year.

If anything Erdogan has been a bit unkind to Russia and has been happily aiding ISIS in Syria, to the CIA's benefit. We'll see who takes power but I would bet some money that if the military seizes power, or some other group, it's likely that relations with Putin with improve. Erdogan is a loose cannon, has been genociding the Kurds, and Russia was posturing in the Caucasus to seize eastern Turkey and return it to the Kurds when the Turks had that Russian jet shot down.


If this coup is successful, and aid to ISIS is cut off, there is going to be a huge shift in the Middle East. ISIS might dry up overnight. Syria might return to a stable rule under Assad, and everyone who has been trying to get the moderate Assad out of power (the CIA, Saudis, Israelis) will have been screwed.

Another "media meme" that points to this possibility is the fact that US media has finally been showing Assad himself speak and giving his side of the story, treating him a bit more like a human being lately, while John Kerry is trying to negotiate closer military cooperation with Russia.

An RT has the coup pinned on on a political adversary of Erdogan:

I think I've incorrectly pinned this on C14 in my OP; they are capable of being successful => Ukraine. Perhaps they where passive about it: "Ok lets see what you can do" rather than "Lets make it happen".

This operation seems to have underestimated government responses, as though they didn't have all the information. Somehow, with all the experience C14 has in overthrowing governments I don't think this is something they would do.

I am not so sure this was even a coup. It looks more like a repeat of the Reichstag fire of 1933.



Many people don't remember this little fact but Hitler was elected democratically. Shortly after Hitler staged a burning of his own parliament building called the "Reichstag" in order to justify a crackdown of political opponents and pass the enabling act granting himself absolute authority.

This is exactly what Erdogan is doing right now in Turkey as he cracks down on political opponents and arrests thousands of judges. We certainly have a little Hitler wannabe in the making here.

Erdogan himself even declared the coup a "Gift from god" as it now enables him to do all the things he wanted to do but couldn't get away with before.

The following posted article is from PressTV an Iranian outlet. Like so many media outlets it has its share of people who are supporters of a globalist agenda and report on ways that are usually quite subtle. This, of course, includes writing articles that are legitimate and those that are a mix of info with disinfo. Globalists thrive on confusion and the chaos it engenders. Globalists is a far better word to use then elite because they are not elite in any way. Let us not pay them that compliment.

The following article could be interpreted by some as being anti-Israel. That is not the intention of posting it. We have at least one Israeli member and I want them to feel at home here. Let us say the Iran and Israel are at odds and recognize that situation as the current state of affairs. Suspected mastermind in Turkey coup served as military attaché to Israel

A main suspect in the failed coup against the Turkish government formerly served as a military attaché to Israel, reports say.

General Akin Öztürk, also the former commander of Turkey's air force, was arrested on Saturday along with at least five other generals in connection to the failed coup.

From 1998 to 2000, Öztürk served in Turkey’s Tel Aviv embassy and later went on to serve as the air force commander until he stepped down last year. He retained his seat in Turkey's Supreme Military Council.

Turkey has announced that Öztürk and his alleged partners will be tried over treason charges.

At this point in time, I don't have enough information about the situation in Turkey to come to any conclusions or posit any theories regarding the failed coup, but in addition to all that's been mentioned higher up the thread already, there might also be a couple of other factors to consider:

• Turkey has quite a history of military coups. So this coup here wasn't the first, and it probably also won't be the last.

• Not everyone in Turkey is a Muslim — in fact, there are many Christians there as well — and Erdogan has been repeatedly criticized by the secular Turkish political parties for blurring the line between church and state.

• Turkey has been trying very hard to join the European Union, and there are many within the EU — the Belgian neo-liberals being among them — who would very much like for Turkey to join up. However, as the opponents of Turkey's entry into the EU regularly point out, Turkey does not support human rights, and is known to torture suspects and prisoners. Tayyip Erdogan (*) himself is definitely not without controversy in that regard.

• Among other things, Turkey is one of the nations that the CIA flew its terrorism suspects to under the Bush Jr. administration in order to torture them, because the US Constitution did not allow any torturing on US soil. This was still taking place after Bush Jr. had signed the bill which allowed for suspects to be waterboarded on US soil, so the level of torture in Turkey is most likely even more severe than waterboarding.

I'm not jumping to any conclusions here. I'm only putting a bit more information on the table.

It always seemed to me that the EU was trying an awful lot harder to get the Islamic fundamentalist Erdogan into the EU than Erdogan was trying to get into it himself. Turkey's economy has already been strong even without the promises of the so-called economic benefits that membership would bring. Some group behind the EU seems to be obsessed with flooding Europe with Muslims.

What's the political angle here? I assume it has something to do with the language but I wouldn't know what. I noticed newspeople here in the US starting to say what sounds like "Erdowan" all of a sudden.
