France threatens to block EU-US deal and French parliamentarians have just approved a resolution not to renew sanctions on Russia.

Interesting, another obvious change we would not usually see.

Maybe someday we will realize God gave us the power of "dominion" over the things of this world, NOT the power of "domination". There's a very subtle (but important) difference.

I don't know how it is in France, but I am aware that in the past here in the US, the politicians will reject a bill or treaty, etc., we citizens will applaud them, and then they simply wait a while and either quietly pass it later or rename it under something that sounds altruistic (like clean air act), but isn't.

Hopefully the people of France won't let this happen.

France seems to have always been mindful to maintain its autonomy from outside political influence. Even though they're part of the EU and supposed to follow EU laws, they've developed a reputation for ignoring or finding ways around things like trade regulations that aren't beneficial to them. They also spend a lot of money protecting and advancing their language and culture and trying to stomp out English words that keep creeping into the everyday French vocabulary, like "weekend," though they haven't been entirely successful with that.

For everybody following the MSM's demonization of Trump, see if this doesn't sound familiar, from last December:

Front National held back in France – but its trajectory is on the up

The election night mood in France was one of grim introspection.

Even if the rising tide of the far right Front National (FN) had been held back – temporarily at least – by tactical voting and a leap in turnout, the lessons were clear to see. The nationalist, anti-immigration, anti-European party was here to stay.

There were no winners in an election that consisted of establishment parties running around at the last minute trying desperately to outwit what they warned was a racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic and overwhelmingly dangerous party.

There was no serious examination of the reasons why voters were turning away from the parties of government and flocking to the FN not just as a mere protest vote, but as a political alternative.

When the FN made a historic breakthrough and took nearly 28% of the vote in the first round of the regional elections, it was yet another moment in which the party was ranked as “the most popular in France” after successively topping a series of polls from the European elections onwards in a steady rise.

Even if the FN has failed to win overall control of a region – just as it had failed to win overall control of any smaller local départements earlier this year – its broad trajectory is on the up.

A BVA poll during the campaign found that 57% of French people now feel the FN should be considered as a party like any other. Its voters can no longer be confined to a particular stereotype.

The Front National party is anti-EU, and yet they now have the most seats in the EU parliament representing France, thanks to a headline-making election in France a couple years ago. Support for the FN skyrocketed during the 2014 elections. They put France first and don't like EU meddling in French business or rolling over to accept infinite numbers of poorly documented Middle Eastern "refugees."

People in many western countries are getting tired of having intolerant foreign cultures and political correctness rammed down our throats while being harassed the whole time about how intolerant we all are. Seems like a perfect example of Orwellian double-think to me. Everyone in the world needs to cooperate but we don't need NWO-style globalist government being forced upon us by Khazarian mafia types.
