The tragic part is working class Americans lose either way, whether the corporate democratic establishment candidate beats the fake populist or not.

However, the exciting thing is that Wall Street, major corporations, and the Military Industrial Complex, will all be high fiving each other no matter who wins.

But hey, as usual go Team D!

I have to agree with that, Fred. Ultimately American politics is a sad state of affairs.

The bottom line for me is more people voting, more people involved. Not just in politics, but in civics.

Part of the reason the two-winged bird has gotten away with what it has is that most folks just haven't been involved. 30% of the population voting was in a good year. But it's really not a lot.

People like to say they don't 'have a dog in the race' but they do anyway. They have to pay the taxes and deal with the system that comes out of it.

More involvement is a good thing. And that's happening all over.

I don't think the shenanigans of old will continue so easily because The People are going to be having a much more watchful eye.

As regards the two-winged bird, one wing was transformed by the American People via, among other things, the self-described Tea Party. That wing has been forever changed.

Therefore I posit that the other wing can also be transformed. And in fact I believe it will. Because there are enough American people, even after the ravages of corona, to do so.

They will get active and they will vote and they are who will bring forth the transformation. Not the political party or it's organizational entities.

    The People.

It's too bad the tea party was co-opted by the republican party. It's a different beast today. But Trumpster backers sure got the message that the American people don't like hot wars, so they are saving that up for the second term.

4 million votes already cast. That's up exponentially from the last major election year. Like I've been saying, it's the People who will make the difference.

Trump is still talking about Hillary. Oh, these poor souls. Where would they be without their boogeymen and straw men? Lost. So lost.

The thing is the golden one is less not more, much less ... that isn't a good answer. Gravitas is necessary when facing power. Brand might act this way in the face of looming seriousness, I might also, but what is the result. Women find it ridiculous, "What a jackass". the golden one has lost women not in small part because his 'aura' has devolved into the 'small hands syndrome'.

A psychopath would by nature have a highly tuned 'sense' of political winds. It's not actually political though, it's a arrow like sense of human weakness and how to exploit it.

Is it 'talking about politics' to discuss how 13 White Supremacists were just arrested in a plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan and potentially start a civil war?

Is it 'talking about politics' to recall how Trump tweeted "Liberate Michigan!" ?

Is it 'talking about politics' to point out his many calls for violence including promises to pay any legal bills?

It seems we've gone way beyond politics here.

The FBI affidavit named six men who were involved in the plot: Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Ty Garbing, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris, and Brandon Caserta. FBI agents raided Ty Garbing’s home on Wednesday night.

The group wasn’t just planning to kidnap Whitmer; they also discussed killing police officers, which prompted one of the militia members they contacted to do the right thing and reach out to law enforcement. Like a lot of extremists, Fox and the other men named in the affidavit were openly plotting and operating on Facebook.

As Wind pointed out with the Venus Project guy, everything is politics, I would add that nothing is politics, it is behavior no less human than anything else on Maslow's pyramid. Really, not looking to score points, it is what I really believe. The term politics is just a cover for human values and they pretty much suck badly.

If everything is politics then everything is on the table. But that's too generalized for me.

Facts on the ground, boots on the ground, blood on the ground, that's where it goes beyond politics for me.

Death, children torn from their parents' arms, that's where it's real. No amount of politics can undo that.
