I totally enjoyed the Putin interviews, as is likely evident in my comments. They were great. It doesn't mean there hasn't been plenty of propaganda around. Putin would love for those interviews to help him be seen in a more positive light.

And it was quite clear he's Russia first and last and quite proud of it. He mentioned more than once that they have a more than 1000 year history. He sees us as children, likely, with no real culture.

Ever since the news in America was moved into the entertainment divisions of their respective businesses, it's all been a huge amount of propaganda. Much of it is Corporate. They don't have to tell the truth because it's 'entertainment'.

    Sad and true.

Facebook already manipulated it's users before and admitted it. It wants revenue. Money before people. That's the current paradigm.

There's a great descriptive phrase I heard today, "Political Catfish". Anyone familiar with the eponymous show on MTV? (just 'Catfish') It's about when people post fake profiles to get dates or take advantage of people or whatever.

If it's true that more than 50% of Americans get their news from Facebook...God help us.

Imo there was, is, a big picture, that many were able to understand through observation that humanity was evolving, maybe also through their own feelings and experiences, many years ago.

The problem is that Netanyahu is another fine example of the mold...Authoritarian. No authoritarian adds anything to the betterment of humanity.

Popular behaviors such as 'yea Putin' are notoriously fed by propaganda and who is winning that war at the moment. Delving past propaganda storms one usually finds that the extant circumstances and realities have not budged. And such is the case with Putin...he is trouble.

My views about Trump are somewhat undecided these days . Obviously it is great that he won Hillary, because she was "supposed" to win. Then again, Mr. Trump as a person isn't very elegant and has a terrible temper, it seems. I don't actually have to like him and really don't and same applies to many other political leaders too. He has shown that he is a businessman who supports Wall Street, big corporations and etc so he's not much a different kind of puppet even if he was an political outsider.

Maybe he was exactly what America needed and deserved in this point of time, yet he has to show what kind of a man he would be under true pressure. I'm not talking about the kind of pressure he has received from the media and the deep state, but the kind of pressure which is brought by tragedies and catastrophes. Then leaders usually show their greatest acts or worst mistakes. I truly wish that in our lifetimes we would see political leaders who have their egos kept in check, but I don't really see that happening anytime soon. We all know what happened to the likes of JFK and MLK, they got killed because they were honestly doing great things (and they too were just humans with their faults). I think honestly the last decent leader America had was Jimmy Carter who was a decent guy.

Trump hasn't been even for one year in the office yet, let's just wait and see how many wars he will start or take part in. If the answer is none, then I will be gladly surprised. Unfortunately I don't think that will be the case.

I don't know about that, Bro. It was on his watch and with his approval that Zbigniew Brzezinsky tricked the Soviets into invading Afghanistan. Not only was that a bloody invasion, but then Brezinsky and the CIA started recruiting, training and arming the Mujahedeen in order to destroy the Soviet Union by bringing the Russian military to its knees. That's a pretty Machiavellian and sociopathic initiative, considering the enormous loss of human life and other war atrocities that were taking place then — as in any war, of course. And it's exactly what they did.

Jimmy Carter most definitely knew about that, and he would also highly likely have signed off on it. And then there are the pictures of him attending the, um, gatherings at Bohemian Grove. He's not quite as decent a guy as you think he is.

Ah, well I must admit that I haven't looked too deeply into his dealings. In comparison to others like Reagan and George H.W. Satan Bush I had an image of him being a somewhat decent guy, but perhaps it might not be so.

I did too, Wind. Many seem to want to hold Brzezinski responsible, but Carter was president. I believe Carter regrets much of what happened during his presidency and has pretty much devoted himself to helping others since the end of his presidency.

I tend to agree with that DT, although as authority figures go, I think Presidents are rather low in the pecking order of the circles the Brzezinski's of this world ran/run with. Whatever the case though, Brzezinski was most certainly the brains behind that administration where foreign policy was concerned. (As an aside, I'll bet few know Brzezinskii advised Obama as well)

Of any l ex Presidents still living, Carter would be the one I would pick as one who may have grown a conscience, and he knew what he was getting into being the first Pres to become a member of the Trilateral Commission. I read recently that even well into his 90's now, he still goes out and swings a hammer for his Habitat for Humanity home starts.

Even though I have never heard the man express any regrets, his actions (like the rest of us) out of office do speak for him. Hell that's more what I look for anyway. Don't tell me, *show* me.

May be it is what Trump has not done that is important so far and not what he has done.

In the For Whatever It's Worth Department:

What Trump has done is indeed central to all the current events. But here's a thought about the inclusion of social media like Facebook and Twitter in the works. The U.S. intel services are using the Trump saga as a cover to get to terrorist organizations. It's completely legit, as is the Trump investigation, this is just an added bonus! In 6 months, give or take, they might actually reveal that aspect of it.
