Sounds similar to what the fellow below said, and this to me was a true Liberal.

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
Thank you Ben Franklin, for all your faults you nailed that one dead on. While I couldn't agree more on the Rights v. Security aspect you touch on there NAP, once again I answer the call of duty to reel us back in from Left Wing utopia think (as opposed to it's counterpart Right Wing utopian think).

George Bush created Homeland Security, took us into eternal war, and signed the Patriot Act.

Barack Obama made Homeland Security stronger, kept us in eternal war + drastically increased drone strikes, and signed the American Defense Authorization Act.

Now Trump is upping the ante once more in due course, and if someone like the Progressive darling Bernie Sanders wound up somehow bypassing the Democratic National Committee (same as the RNC machine) machine and became "Big Dog", the same trend would continue. We can peck around the edges til the cows come home, but deep down nothing is changing either way.

one big difference...Obama did it because the right forced him to ...Remember how weak Obama was, that was the constant refrain supposedly from the same voices that wanted a hands off, live and let live approach to world diplomacy. The others did it for blood lust...How could there possibly be a bigger difference.

But you are right, things don't change much...because it is the same power that everyone rails against and always has been driving this world. The right is where all the money to buy propaganda, supreme courts, and weapons lie, We now call those power brokers, the top tenth percent.

And this conspiratorial effort psychologically projects through all it's resources the anti-programming spiel on those such as Soros. People who actually spend money to make a better society

You might have noticed, I'm not as patient as Wind in this regard...

Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were both pretty cool. Franklin was an avowed elitist but that hardly made him any different.

Jefferson knew the constitution was full of crap before he was cold in his grave. Them's the cold hard facts!

yyyyeeesssssss... What has he done to undermine positive movement in society? Honestly, I've never checked but sporadically. I tuned out propaganda when I was in elementary school...

Well, he is touted as a philanthropist by the US mainstream media, which by definition means that he's not — unless you consider Bill Gates, David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski philanthropists too.

Like the aforementioned, he aims to expand the US corporatist-globalist empire. There's even a saying that there's a special place in hell for George Soros, and from what I've seen and heard about him, I would be inclined to agree, if only it weren't for the fact that I don't believe in hell as an actual place where the souls of bad people dwell.

Keep dreaming, Dumpy. I'd love to see that too, but I don't imagine it happening anytime soon if ever. Some are too big to fall...

Before Trump was elected, I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. I thought he was amusing and I still think that he is a clown, but I'm sure that the people who are affected by his decisions might not be so amused. He might be a jerk, but he's not evil so in that sense he is different from some of the top players and even as POTUS by no means he would be even of the key players, yet his decisions do affect many people. However, if he starts another war then he will deserve the title assclown.

I'm not an American, but from what I have seen, I don't think I've ever seen America so divided. What's all this talk about lefties and right wingers, communists and capitalists? I don't belong to any political party here nor do I even want to identify with any of them. Sure I probably learn towards leftism and liberalism like most sane people would and I don't really mean to offend anyone with that, but that doesn't mean that I would support some political decisions, they are just my personal humanitarian values.

Here in Scandinavia we have a social democracy. I'm sure some of the right winger Americans would say that it's some Marxist communist utopia which doesn't work, but guess what. It's actually the most democratic system in the whole world and it's closer to the so called American dream than the current capitalist system in US is. We do have capitalism here too, it's just a milder version combined with socialism. Even then, our system isn't perfect and in many senses it's failing because our leaders are globalist idiots who are ripping off the poor and the working man, but it is what it is. At least we don't have homeless people, at least we have (relatively) free education and healthcare. We view them as basic human rights, they are not a luxury. Yet it's so sad to see that most countries in the world don't have those things, let alone America which is supposed to be the most liberal and free country in the world! How ironic is that?

In the end all of these political games are just a distraction. Why are people getting divided over things like this? Is it always going to be left vs. right, or East against West until whole Rome falls again, metaphorically speaking? Will we ever learn? Don't blame just one man, blame the whole system. It's an insane system where nothing makes sense. People are just focused on their own greed, not the welfare of their common man.

We need something much better than this, but it's linked to the collective level of awareness and consciousness. Humans still seem to want to stay on this tribal level which ultimately leads to warfare and violence, which is quite sad to me. Psychopaths and corrupt people are leading us, and the key players are hidden in the shadows. I don't know how you can fight against that? I suppose you can only accept what is. Tend the garden, breathe the air deep into your lungs and thank your maker for what you have. Maybe only by transforming ourselves we can change this world.

yeah, Gates is for society, but a veracious capitalist...don't really know that much about the other two beyond what I've read on alt-sites. I don't really think the 'globalist' term applies unless one is referring to global captialism... One thing that Gates and Soros have in common is that they share...that's why they are considered liberal demon spawn...

Wind, you sound like an American when you say ‘Scandinavian’ country. Which one? If you don’t differentiate, I’ll mark you down as a long-boat building Norwegian...or a standoffish Swede.

...wait a minute...the only ones who talk about themselves as being ‘Scandinavian’ and can write English so very well are the Finns...

    ...are you Finnish?
