Thank you for posting 'Time to Say Goodbye', JP.

It always gets me misty-eyed. Several years ago, my daughter was in a serious relationship with a man from Italy who was here on a work visa. She came close to marrying Max (a shortened version of his real name which I cannot pronounce, never mind spell) when his visa expired and he was to go back to Italy.

I was so torn...they were perfect for each other and yet they would have moved to Italy had they wed.

It was a very difficult decision for them. In the end, Max went home alone.

This song reminds me of the pain of their final goodbye...

Thanks very much Ben a beautiful piece, just perfect with my first cup of tea after a bad night’s sleep on a Sunday morning. Another of my favourite English composers is listed below…

Melidae what can I say, such beautiful relaxing music this morning thank you, I might just be going back to bed soon …

Hope this has not already been posted (truth be told the reset took away much of my mojo to follow through on such things as I did the "first time").

Good on you others for repeat performances.

Thank you Calz for this wonderful reminder - this piece has always brought me peace. Here is another that does the same for me.

3 of my favorite singers, singing one of my favorite songs. And I love the young girl in the audience who is singing along with her hand over her heart. That's exactly what I do every time I hear this piece.

I always think of my hip-hop loving daughter whenever I hear this as it's her favourite classical song. It tells me that whatever our favourite genres, the individual beauty of music never fails to hit that special spot.
