I look forward to be able to discuss the new X-Files. It sounds like we need to wait a bit for those ‘across the pond’ to get the new episodes. I avidly watched all the X-Files over and over.
It’s funny, it was years after the series began before I could watch them because I was married to a very devout evangelical preacher. He forbad me to watch X-Files and the new Star Trek shows at that time. After he was caught with the church secretary and excommunicated I divorced him and began watching all the shows I longed to watch and most importantly read all the books I had wanted to read for 16 years.
Although, all those years I was married to him I am deeply grateful. I was exposed to intense bible study and research. I even learned (somewhat) how to interpret scripture using the original Greek and Hebrew. The bible takes on a whole new meaning if the original text is used. Opens up a whole other world.
I found the first episode very fascinating . . . . . although I bet in a different way than most . . . it will be interesting discussion.
