    My brain-memory is full of:
    Eckankar
    Gurdjieff
    Jan Cox
    UG (Krishnamurti)
    microprocessors
    Chet Baker

    I have an overrun error.
Cannot swallow more post in TOT.

Which should I delete first ?

Only you can determine what is of no use to you anymore. Try distilling the info down to a manageable volume.

I've been taking in a lot recently. I can't possibly retain it all. I process, filter, and continue.

Maybe offload some to external storage?

There is a bookcase where I am. It holds words so I do not need to keep them in my head at all times. All my head needs is the pointer to where the information is stored.

Speaking of books, I take written or typed notes of information I come across, compile them into a word document on the computer and make books out of them. You can either print them off and bind them together yourself, or self-publish for free through CreateSpace. Either way, there is no way I can remember everything interesting I come across, let alone where exactly I heard it all from, so keeping physical copies of notes in that way helps me both remember things and where I heard them from. It helps me to compare, contrast and cross-reference all of the information later, not too much different than what Dumpster Diver has been talking about.

Visting Eckankar in Freiburg long long ago:
done only first and one and last Initiation of possible 23 + x

    stehen.

    Reigen = square dance

    A visit to the Zoo.

Yesterday, I was in Eckankar, there I met people.
that told me they had spoken with God.
They have asked him much and got to the answer,
in a soup with letters and numbers together
stirred, the questions on any response.
After they all had eaten, they now no longer
hell bent on alphabet soup and mixed salad.
Send your brain now on travel, which saves them
much trouble when the souls to distant places, travelling
in the furthest corner, where all thoughts rot.
You have the oldest champion in long line he travels
for many generations through worlds and long eons.
Now he has settled and does spend their royalties.
Invent new stories, with which he can layers of thoughts,
maintains a huge tower, all trying to climb.
But some prefer to stay down in the dance, and some in the rain.

Bsbray, that's impressive and a great idea. I do have notes but they're not compiled and organized. A book. Of notes. I like it.

(Hope I am not taking this too far off topic)

One of the best ways I've found for my brain to retain pointers to info is for my hand to write or type at least some of that info.

So I second the thanks to bsbray, for the self-publishing idea.

Going through notes, reading and organizing helps w/recall and can spur news ideas or thought patterns.

An alternative to self-publishing through a website like CreateSpace (owned by Amazon) is to just print off loose pages yourself, 2 on each side of a piece of standard printer paper, fold the page in half and bind them up like this guy shows:

The hard part isn't actually binding the loose pages together, but getting the pages to print in the correct order so you can put them together like this.

I learned a way to make a bound book by hand, though it didn't involve printed pages.
