Imagine the mind screw of men

I heard a good one the other day. I was at a coffee shop enjoying a cup a joe and overheard this story from a couple, oh, perhaps mid 70s for age I suspect.

It went like this. Imagine that all men in the years of Marilyn Monroe and before were all normal. Now by normal what I mean is they had the same tastes and there were no conflicts about that in the minds of men in what they liked and preferred in woman.

Now this man apparently worked in advertisement. In fact he worked in NY on Madison Ave. He said so during the conversation.

So anyway, he goes on, in those days men's 'hands' and men's 'eyes' were on the same page you see. That is how he puts it. The hands liked the same thing the eyes liked. They were on the same page.
Clothing manufacturers came calling wanting to market and display their woman's clothing lines. Apparently this guys firm was one of them. Now the work was done, the manufacturer reps came and they sat down and listened to the spiel from the current head sales guys and it was too much money! They balked and backed out. The sales guys got to work to see what they could do to reduce the cost!

They came up with hiring skinny models. They dumped the bigger 'normal' gals everyone was familiar that was the preferred and hired skinny models. The need for fabric was so much less that the bid changed significantly enough to get the manufacturers to sign. They did and skinny models were used from then on to save money on cost of advertising.

The real cost however, was that the generation of boys that grew up seeing the skinny models while their father's looked on wondering why all the skinny girls were now on TV but it never quite hit anyone that it was conflicting things. This man says the hand and the eyes were now on different pages.

What it did according to some studies done that apparently were failed law suits but only barely failed as they did have merit according to the story. The fact is the boys grew up seeing this skinny girl on the hood of cars with cigarettes and they married them seeking them out as the ideal only to then stray cheating many times on woman more, shall we say 'full bodied' or dare I say 'normal', at least the old normal.

Because they married what the eyes said was great, but then the hands became bored, they still craved what they craved. Many woman would say, how can he see anything in her, she is fat, not realizing that the Monroe body type is actually the true norm that both the hands and the eyes naturally drifted to in the past but that changed and the eyes started seeing new ideal. However, the hands and that part of the sensory apparatus of men still wanted the geography of a real woman with no boney hips, showing ribs, and so on. The fact is it conflicted men in their heads and further proof is the divorce rates sky rocking and changing drastically shortly after the hire skinny models conspiracy unfolded!

One can still look back in time and see almost to the day and time that TV shifted to the skinny model as it went from models to actresses to entertainers shortly after this. According to the study there are much more sensory apparatus shifts with smell, hearing and tastes going on in the way of social experiments all the time. This shift is geared mostly to save money to those behind it or to make money off those it is being done to. Its just another of the many mind screws man has had to endure due to a common problem called greed.

some have said, 'no it can't be' but they went from average size 12-14 to average size 2-4 so it reduced fabric needs by ten sizes on average per gown or outfit
