    Benefits of Chakra/group/collective Meditation.

Harmonic Convergence in Aug 1987 is the first and most well known collective meditation and from memory the then current pope got very upset, blamed the stock market crash on them.

Group Chakra meditations that I have experienced, through mainly Reiki groups and Oneness meditations have for me always been joyfullll and lasting.

Transcendental meditations group wise I have not experienced but from some sources are and may be similar.

Felt to start a thread upon this due to lots of talk around the pro's and con's around meditation here of late but not much talk about the group or chakra side of meditation.

When one is taking part in a group chakra meditation, what are the dynamics ?, for me, when two or more are gathered in my name, comes to mind. Coat of many colours meaning chakras comes to mind, chakras having colours. With chakras being the conduit for one, to above and below, how does the mechanics energetically work differently from a individual chakras meditation and group chakras meditation, my experience is they are boldly differing.

I heard Cara St. Louis interviewed and she mentioned George Kavassilas who is lately telling people that they should turn off their chakras. Cara doesn't agree. I think the idea is strange. Wouldn't that be like turning off an organ or body system?

Meditation is a powerful thing and good to be encouraged. I don't have much experience with group meditation.

Our or ones chakras is a humans conduit for above and below besides many other aspects, attuning them all into one as such imo may be the nearest one can get to having no chakras, seen a couple of vids of people who have said they did this and from my observation, they still had there chakras, one looked pretty healthy while another looked like crap.

Think, when two or more are gathered in my name, then imagine being with 20 or 30 others doing a group chakra meditation, I love it, always been xlent experience for me.

Good for Cara. I could never watch George for any length of time because my bullshit/deception alarm was ringing so loud. I can listen to David Wilcock for longer. Think I lasted about twelve minutes on his Fade2Black interview. First 8 minutes included him talking about his flight and a "harrowing" landing.

I ceased participation in this particular type of thing a couple of years ago, when it began to dawn on me that the overall intent, whatever it may be or how noble, can be hijacked and used for purposes said group would never wish to envision.

As an aside reason, I simply do not know who I might be "in there" with. I can liken it to jumping into a crowded public swimming pool. Everybody is there to enjoy the water, but some are peeing, some have very poor hygiene, some are just flat out nasty, and it's all coming out in the wash. You get the picture, no thanks.

That's funny, Fred. A good coating of skin oil might help.

I can relate on a basic level which is why I don't seek these things out.

And I do believe in the power of many gathered together. It works in all kinds of ways.

If one has fears or feels uneasy etc about doing group meditation or especially group chakra meditation, one should do as you have done, one could start doing these meditations with ones they trust or strongly build up their conduit/chakras themselves before joining others which may help with fears.

Sure it works, even in ways we are totally unaware of. That's the part that concerns me, am I sure my full intent is going where I think it is? Are you sure?

Is it really "fear" to employ caution, where one knows there is danger? Remember the example was worldwide meditations, not down the corner at the local YMCA.

That's an excellent question. I can never really be sure of all the results of my actions. I feel the same caution as you and I don't see it as fear at all.

As much as I am aware of the power of people gathered together I only occasionally participate in group prayer and have yet to do group meditation.

One may put their hand in a fire and fear of doing it again is imo a good fear, fear of the unknown is also a good fear imo.

Fear is such a hot topic.

We need it for physical survival yet it can be our undoing.

    Ah, the ironies of life.
