    Anyone here doing aquaponics?

Once cooler weather sets in I have got two plastic food grade barrels to cut up and put together making a small aquaponics system in my house for winter. I have done some research and I am not quite sure how to get the ecological system up before adding fish. Wondering if anyone here has a system up who can lend some advice?
    Thanks in advance,
    JoAnn

    Anybody?

K, if I find out I will let folks know...
    Thanks

Here is information on AquaPonics Systems...forum and one system below:
Now, if I can just find what I need to make sure the system is balanced; kind of like an aquarium ...duh..I guess.
Anyhow check out some of these systems and i am shooting for one "in house" for winter and extension of my growing season. Only real stickler is I heat with wood and my plants always dry out quick. To battle that problem I tore up some large diapers and mixed the contents with soil/compost to help hold more moisture.
I guess this will be my thread about aquaponics....LOL

I'm interested in it but just started setting up an outdoor garden last year and that's a lot of work on its own. There's tons of info on YouTube, especially from that organic gardener guy in California that you'd have a hard time missing if you do many searches for gardening information.

Thanks all appreciated. I have the barrels as mentioned above. Clearing space and making room ready for system. LOL, I actually have plants which I pulled from garden sitting in pots while I make ready this system I am working on. Hopefully up and running soon....although I need to find a better pump system than what I have. Seems too low of psi(?) to pump "up" hill instead of equal or down.....
    Thanks again!
