Living in the present is undoubtedly non-imaginary and energizing. Though, imho, where and how would we as a species progress without hindsight and foresight. I feel the key is to ignore/overcome the fear of imagination and focus on evolving by the most efficient, beneficial means with the least amount of difficulty. However true, we are individuals with our own ways of thinking and overcoming obstacles, imaginary or not.
Good points. Without planning it would be difficult to get anywhere. Although I would disagree that an evolution is possible with the least amount of difficulty, so to say.
Thanks for initiating the thread and posting the video, it was kind of nice sample out of tons of similar videos out there

since the zombie apocalypse seems to have happened a very long time ago already
all these types of things boil down to
"how hard does a zombie need to be beat before they seek to overcome their inner condition of contraction"?
it seems that all the crisis over the past century haven't really done it for the majority
people continue on with the self absorbed ways that typify our species
videos like this do drop some interesting bits of info regarding the state of things, but tend to do it in a way that uses fear as the major hook.
hoping to activate the self-preservation circuits I would imagine.
religions have been doing the same for millenia, so it is obviously a very successful gambit.
however, it isn't the only way to motivate change in the individual, the most powerful being where an individual just wakes up to their deplorable state and begins to alter it on their own with no need for outside fear motivators to stimulate the work.
rather awe and wonder are the prime movers
This to me is far more interesting than all the sky is falling stories promoted, no matter how apparently factual they may be.
