I always loved the sound of the electric guitar, only piano and violin can even come close to it.
If only I would have had the patience and the dexterity in order to learn to play that amazing instrument!

Big hits, I've played 'Hypnotized' a number of times so i won't repost it ... but it is my favorite ... 'trippy' music.
I couldn't help myself!

First time I heard it, I was living in North Carolina ...

I recognize that song, but I didn't realize it was theirs. I guess I associate them with the female singers.

oh, so you're one of those people's the symbol formerly known as.
I guess I never really really appreciated his music ... though he was certainly good.
A couple of years ago i got into a good natured back and forth with a white guy and black guy. The caucasoid was a guitarist (I think I posted one of his videos here).
Anyway, who was 'greater' Michael Jackson or Former Dude. I had to go with Michael Jackson ... there was no one in my corner ...

Prince was an eccentric person for sure, but he had a few really good hits and knew how to play the guitar.
And damn it NAP, I was just listening to Beat It and was going to link it here. Well, I'll do it anyways!
My big brother was a massive MJ fan and that way I learned to like his music too, later the person also.

And the bass, and the drums, and the keyboards. He basically played everything.
The rhythm guitars and bass on "Beat It" were played by Steve Lukather from Toto, possibly with Jeff Porcaro from Toto on drums. The lead guitar was played by Eddie Van Halen, who's good friends with Steve Lukather.
The guys from Toto contributed a lot more to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album. For instance, the song "Human Nature" was written by Steve Porcaro, but Michael's producer Quincy Jones didn't like the original lyrics and rewrote them. Nevertheless, if you hear that recording, then it's basically all Toto, with Michael Jackson's voice on top.
The story of how Michael Jackson and Steve Lukather finally got together in the studio is quite hilarious, and I'll let Luke explain it in his own words...

Nice, that's amazing and I didn't know that.
How interesting. I of course know Toto, but I haven't been familiar with Lukather. He seems like a humble guy.The rhythm guitars and bass on "Beat It" were played by Steve Lukather from Toto, possibly with Jeff Porcaro from Toto on drums. Thriller is a masterpiece, I'm very glad to own that album on vinyl. MJ was a genius who worked with other geniuses.
