Can't see the Eagles video Aragorn, BUT...I have a story...

I had a friend whose family were millionaires (Wichita Kansas)...ahh, I'm burnt out...I'll make it short...He won a 60-second free run through a music store...One of the albums he grabbed was Hotel California...He offered to give it to me and I turned it down...

I don't own that album either, but I do own a "Best of" album, and "Hotel California" is on there.

that is a beautiful song. I was a bit sad that she didn't go without makeup, like Alicia Keyes or Frances McDormand, especially because she already has model-looks. it made her lyric less authentic for me.

I have such mixed feelings about Michael. He music is the soundtrack of my formative years. I felt a huge heart presence seeing him perform twice during the Triumph "comeback" tour. But I also feel very glad that the survivors are telling their stories, and being heard. No stone will be left unturned. This is the promise, this is exactly what we need to do in order to fix everything, as much as we don't like what we see once we turn over all of these rocks.

I was impressed at Alicia wearing no makeup. She is lovely still. I posted this video once. It's called Try, and during the video the girls and women take off their makeup and wigs. And some film tricks are revealed as well.

I'm still having serious doubts about the whole Michael Jackson thing. I'm not so sure those "witnesses"/"survivors" would be telling the truth. It wouldn't be the first time that a documentary is made with the intent of propagating lies ─ Andrew Wakefield's "VAXXED" sits still freshly in mind ─ and we must not forget that Michael Jackson had already been acquitted in court over earlier, similar charges.

In that case, this one's for you ─ it's also from their R&B-influenced period.

Anyone remember this guy? He was once a member of Fleetwood Mac ─ for a very short time ─ and he has also toured with Roger Waters after Pink Floyd split up, among other things, for Waters' "The Wall" concerts in Berlin.

Now, if you listen very carefully to the chord progression, then you'll quickly realize where Mark Knopfler got his inspiration for "Brothers In Arms", including that he chose to use a 1959 Gibson Les Paul for that song, whereas his main battle ax had so far always been the Fender Stratocaster ─ which he still plays most of the time, of course.

The first time I heard this song...I was driving my car in Sydney, and I had to pull over because I couldn't see anything for tears.
