Spoilers - Game Of Thrones - Episode 9 Dance with Dragons

I was shocked Stannis burning his daughter alive Win the throne but at what price . Indeed how desperate must he be if he loses they all die lose everything was he justified or not

I say no throne is worth that kill a stranger maybe but your daughter this is not in the books is this a bridge to far I believe there are people who would do anything for power

    :fisty: to Stannis

I don't watch the series. Seems too violent for me. My husband is even more averse. I might try the books. I loved the Lord of the Rings movies, plenty of violence there. I feel like there's a difference but I'd have to actually watch to know.

My Dad was a television guy, business side. Nonetheless, he and my mother were careful about how much we watched and particularly how much violence and horror we watched. It was a pretty simple principle: garbage in, garbage out. I have no intent to insult any particular programming. It's more about how we are saturated with violence, almost always coupled with sex. It's not healthy in large doses.

I've been generally concerned with people confusing fact and fiction. In light of the idea that things are being 'disclosed' via fiction, I'm even more concerned.

Interesting that our entertainment is called programming.
