Baby Boomer Thoughts on Ageing in 2015

A fellow member and good friend sent this today. Problem is, it's all too true....

Random thoughts for 2015 as we age ...>

The biggest lie I tell myself is ..."I don't need to write that down,
    I'll remember it."

Wouldn't it be great if we could put ourselves in the dryer for ten
minutes; come out wrinkle-free and three sizes smaller!

Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven't met
    yet!

I don't trip over things, I do random gravity checks!

I don't need anger management. I need people to stop ****ing me off.

Old age is coming at a really bad time!

Lord grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the
courage to change the things I can & the friends to post my bail when I finally snap!

I don't have gray hair. I have "wisdom highlights". I'm just very wise.

My people skills are just fine. It's my tolerance to idiots that needs
    work.

Teach your daughter how to shoot, because a restraining order is just a
    piece of paper.

If God wanted me to touch my toes, he would've put them on my knees.

The kids text me "plz" which is shorter than please. I text back "no"
which is shorter than "yes" .

I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do
    that second week.

When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people" ?

Even duct tape can't fix stupid ... but it can muffle the sound!

Why do I have to press one for English when you're just gonna transfer
me to someone I can't understand anyway?

Of course I talk to myself, sometimes I need expert advice.

Oops! Did I roll my eyes out loud?

At my age "Getting lucky" means walking into a room and remembering
what I came in there for.

Chocolate comes from cocoa which is a tree ... that makes it a plant
which means ... chocolate is Salad !!!

And, of course? Have I sent this to you already? Or did you send this
    to me?

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room on each side. With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can.

Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.

Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.

Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute (I'm at this level).

After you feel confident at this level, put a potato in each bag.

Um, Sooz, I don't want to ruin other people's jokes, but I think you'll find the clue in this line here-below...

I notice the censorship/snipping of my words. Doesn't matter.

Life is too complicated. I'm going to bed....lol....

Love you all. Sometimes I just misunderstand things. Easy to do on a forum.

I'm too young to be a baby boomer, too old to be Gen X. I'm told I'm the lost generation. I'm not the only one lost...

    Chocolate is totally salad!

I take advice from myself all the time. And I never get mad at myself if I forget and have to repeat myself.

    I LOVE my wisdom highlights.

My friend Sue has just one bumper sticker: I knit so I don't kill people.

Regarding procrastination: Don't put off until tomorrow what you can fail to do today.

If I go upstairs and forget why and then have to go up again, it's exercise, right?

    Hi Dreamtimer,

I am in a 'knit' right now, lol....but not the knitting kind.

Funny thing is, I got my 'wisdom highlights', (grey hair) when I was 20 years old, so hardly 'wisdom highlights'. It's a genetic thing from my Mother.

I looked like Morticia Adams from the Adams Family. Still do. Everyone asks me if they are for real.

'I knit so I don't kill people'. Love that. Thanks!

Sweet. I'm starting to get a streak that goes back across the top of my head. Didn't start in my 20s. Maybe I'll end up like Morticia. I was thinking Brunhilde.

I talk to myself all the time at least that way I get an answer !

I got a ground floor flat so I don't have to forget what I went upstairs for !

After being told in my 50's that I should cut my hair now , I'm 62 and it's half way down my back , my wisdom streaks are undercover , bless the person who invented hairdye .

I can touch my toes as long as I'm sitting down .

I'm an old hippy , it's just that the hips have spread out a bit for that comfort factor .

It's true that if you keep your clothes long enough they come back into fashion .

Shopping lists are meant to be left at home when you go out so you come back with the things you really want not the ones you really need .

    I haven't got wrinkles , they're laughter lines

My sticker on the fridge says "I believe in dragons , good men and other fantasy creatures "
