    There are things we can do . Join groups like 38Degrees and get in their faces and let them know we not going to stand for it . Constantly contact you MP (UK) , Congressmen (US) , I do . he's about a useful as tits on a bull , but if we don't they think we don't care . He always replies but it's just a brush off mostly . But at least he knows someone cares enough to make him hit the keyboard to reply to me .

    This is how they work , they make you feel powerless when the opposite is true . Instead of just me contacting them how about 100, a 1000, , a 100,000 they'd be taking notice them . We're not powerless unless you let them make it so .

    FYI, For all those who are lapping up the "Benefits Britain" series and its underlying tactics of divisiveness ... Generous welfare benefits make people more likely to want to work, not less

    The DWP, like the DVLA and HMRC are simply offices of work. Those working within them for the most part are only doing their best to get to 5pm without a nervous breakdown or having to deal with that higher up they hate, lol.

    Making a difference can be done in every phonecall, every appointment, every last bit of human interaction is an opportunity.

    Try to make people feel like they are part of the problem and, hopefully, when enough people are forced to find an alternative to being the policy enforcement arm for a group of super wealthy paedophiles things may become harder for that ever so small group of super-wealthy paedpohiles.

    This country is governed by talking points, THEY decide what we talk about through shows like "Benefits Britain", "Neighbour Next Door", "40 Kids by 20 women" etc etc.... All of which suck so much a$$ I barely have enough energy to spit on the people who watch them and claim to have any clue about where the money in this country is going.

    £2 Billion a year is given to ALL benefits recipients, that includes sick and disabled.

    £33 Trillion is still sitting UN-TAXED in the British Virgin Islands.....but whatever you do don't stop hating on dolers we don't want to draw attention to the ACTUAL criminals.

    I hope I'm not derailing this thread too much guys, but I was brought to tears like others were last night by gardeners post.
    Would it be a good idea to have a support group on tot to offer support and healing to our beloved members?

    I'm just thinking out loud, and wanting to support those who are hurting.

    Please delete if inappropriate.

    Regards,

    What would we normally call a government that kills off the people who oppose it, and therefore, are no longer around to vote against it?

    I've found out that employees of the private companies contracted to carry out the ESA and PIP assessments on behalf of the DWP all have to sign the official secrets act. Now I can understand data protection policies that employees have to abide by to protect personal information of claimants, however the official secrets act? State secrets?
    This must be to prevent the truth coming out about the deaths associated with these assessments and the targets the DWP have to remove benefits and support the the sick and vulnerable.
    Even as a nurse in the nhs I never signed the official secrets act.
    There may even be a media blackout in place preventing the truth being published.

    Woody

    Sorry guys!

    PIP= personal independence payments.
    ESA= employment support allowance.
    DWP= department of work and pensions.
    NHS= national health service.

    I hope you don't take this as criticism Woody, but it would help people in other parts of the world, if posters could write out in full what...

    ESA, PIP, DWP, NHS mean? I have no idea what you are talking about, lol. And any other abbreviations. It may seem tedious to do, but remember we are talking to people all over the world. And also others that for whom English is not their Mother tongue.

    Just a suggestion, not being critical. I want to understand people's posts and not disregard them because I don't understand.

    Employment and Support Allowance.(see below)

    Personal Independance Payment ( often given to those without much wrong with them and retracted from those who are needy of it)

    Department of Work and Pensions (the criminal racquet of faceless faces at the end of a phone making life changing decisions)

    National Health Service (a once bold idea that has become a disgraceful poor relation to its former self)

    Very true Stoat,
    I've also been told that some of these employees use alias names, so if a claimant complains about unfair decisions made against them by a "decision maker" the complaints are never acted upon or investigated properly because that person does not actually exist as an employee of the department of work and pension.
    Also some of atos employees were starting to get threatened.

    I've had some of this with the Tax office , so now I ask them for a reference No to quote them by , or an extension No . I write everything down they say or sometimes record the conversation . If you tell them you are recording them they will end the call , level playing , not . So I record and then put in writing . A lot of these places you ring are just call centres and not what you think they are . Case in point , TV licensing is not TV licensing , it's a private profit making company who collect the money on behalf of the BBC . Capita is not TV licensing , but they answer the phone , "hello TV Licensing" . I tell them " no your not , who are you ? " very difficult to get them to admit it though , but that's how they treat us with deceit . I could go on

    So how some folk cope with all this is beyond me , they must be making fortunes out of uneducated and sick people who just don't want the hassle of it all and go along with . Now don't even get me started on birth certificates
