Cute, though they will just hide and/or "break" the pepperpot, especially the first time it gets twisted whilst your teenage daughter is in the middle of texting her new boyfriend.

Still think my way is better, tell them to switch it off or it gets thrown on the floor and stamped on!

I find being "assertive" far more efficient at taming the shrews than deceptive tactics. Kids (real kids not the sickly
sweet TV brand brood just shown) love to find a way around parents, its their JOB. LOL!

When my son was little, I used to say if it's on the floor when I'm cleaning up, it goes into the bin. And I did!

Funny how everything he loved, ended up in their own boxes all of a sudden. Sometimes ya gotta be ruthless, lol...

Not to mention saving my arches from stepping on lego bits in the middle of the night en-route to the bathroom....arrgh...

Indeed Sooz , I don't allow any kind of tech at MY table . If they want to use it at dinner times , they can sit on their own in the Kitchen . But when I made them leave their tech at the dining room door they soon got the message . Now it's just family talk , not tech talk . Mean what you say , say what you mean .

Also, I'm positive there is a dimly lit corridor in hell littered with Lego bricks and upturned plugs! Lol

Being a great parent means loving your kids enough to let them hate you.............while you teach them self and other respect, self and other boundaries, self and other love, etc..............and after they get the lesson, they love you again and even more
