His follow up video responding to the messages he got shows he's confused, at best. At a couple of points he actually sticks up for a school education, when it's compared with having your parents be responsible for your education, was one case, I forget the other.

I seem to relate a lot to this as my son is in year 12 now with possibly uni after ,and these questions have risen on so many occasions , in the end i had to sympathize with him and let him know that his points of view are solid, but what counts in his direction of career are the certificates! not so much the studies in themselves , he has developed his own opinions and that for me is enough ,.The system is the system, completely out dated and dysfunctional in many ways so i think the children have to understand that the system is real but they must use it to achieve what they want but not take in what they dont want for themselves, they must separate what is real and what is not, and yes there is so much waist ed time in absolute dysfunctional ''bordumb'' ( correct grammar used), but he will have to hold on if he wants what he wants in his current direction.. Since then he has been able to separate his personal opinions from the education system and is powering through it , he just wants out as soon as but this is the world we have so i encourage him to use the system to his advantage rather than allowing the system to be suffocating him.Its all about getting those certificates , not about being prepared or being awake , this side of things we do at home.

In some ways it can be used to know thy enemy.

Yes he is deffo confused , because it is the parents responsibility to make sure our kids are Educated . Be it home education , or school . The school system does keep our kids deliberately dumbed down . I've had many a disagreement with the school system and it's brain dead staff , sorry if any of you are teachers . As one brave teacher told me , "I agree with you , but I have a mortgage to pay " .

Thank heavens my young man is now out of the system. He snagged an apprenticeship. They chased him, he didn't chase them.

He's happier than a pig in fertiliser. (Notice I'm not swearing? Lol...don't want another infraction do I).

I loved this video. I cant say the system is totally fudged, my little lad has just turned 6 and is reading and writing 4 years above his peers they are considering moving him up but I said as long as he keeps getting harder work than everyone else I will keep undoing all the bad at home when he's with me..They didn't like that.....pmsl.

Yes , they teach them to read, write and basic maths , well some of them . But what they don't teach them is the truth . It's not an education but an indoctrination , they don't teach them the classics . Don't get me wrong , I'm as dumb as the rest when it comes down to the classics and real truthful eduction they get elsewhere . I was taught enough to push buttons and repair machines . But what I really love is music , art and you'll laugh at this one , Farming .

I have a lot of sympathy for our up and coming children , forced to work 500 hours for nothing . Apprenticeships paying as little as £ 2.73 an hour . Paid, not what YOU think your worth , but what some politician who is paid £35.50 an hour, thinks an employer should pay them . You've got me on me soap box now

Couldnt agree more Stoat, but like I said to them, "ill undo all the bad at home". Lol

Rather than waste my energy on trying to force changes to the UK curriculum I myself find it far easier to create an alternative education for him at home.
