    Just wondering?

Hi all! I'm just wondering if anybody out there can relate with this weird feeling I've been having lately while falling asleep. It's like I've got the physical feeling of anxiety, and then I'm short of breath. Well, I gasp. I know I should see a doctor, but it's kinda scary

yes i get that also, gasping for breath and waking myself, in my instance it was nothing too serious, i have a slight heart murmur that causes that along with mild palpatations, id urge you too see the doctor as it is mainly a sign of heart conditions, i also get panic attacks which can cause the anxiety but it doesnt usually cause gasping while falling asleep as you are usually relaxing when you are in that state.

It could possibly be an anxiety attack. They can happen without any specific trigger and come out of nowhere. What you're describing is a very common symptom in anxiety attacks. Seeing a doctor is probably a good move, however, to make sure you have no physical issues.

I'm gonna also say anxiety attacks. Those suckers can happen anytime, anywhere, and you did describe the symptoms. They are mostly harmless, though. That being said, no one here (including doctors who might be reading this) can really diagnose you over an internet forum, so if you are concerned, you should see your doctor for a checkup.

Thanks guys, I hate going to the doctor, i get afraid of what the results might be. But, I need to put my big girl panties on and get to the bottom of it.

If it is anxiety attacks that are happening, I wonder why.
Is anxiety strictly emotional distress, can it also be physical?

I know that if I drink, and get hungover I get anxiety from that. I think it's because my body is literally screaming at me for committing such a binge to myself.

It's weird that it is happening now without me inducing it.

Hi chickadee, I was a sufferer of anxiety attacks for many years, I realised later it mostly happened when I began to panic. Later my Homeopath diagnosed the fact that I had Candida, and it was particularly bad because of the fact that it had been undiagnosed for 30 and more years, so virtually was throughout my body and became worse because all my life my mother loved sugar and candida loves sugar. He had become a specialist in Candida and made a homeopathic which fairly quickly killed it off, in the meantime I starved it out by not eating the foods on which it feeds.

That same Homeopath and his partner became practitioners and teachers of the bowen therapy modality. He explained to me that when lying down, during sleep, sometimes the stomach comes up higher than its usual place, so that it begins pushing against the lungs resulting in loss of room in your lungs and lesser ability to breathe. Doctors will not usually pick up Candida or this displacement of the stomach. This displacement can also in some cases open the IC valve which can result in severe diarrhoea and possibly vomiting from bile. There are some who know in the alternative community, how to put the stomach back into place or close the IC valve. Using your hands on the diaphragm can help as well by giving enough energy for your body to take the energies and of its own accord move back the stomach into place. The use of the hands may also dislodge any gas which may also be instrumental in causing less lung space. If there is a lot of gas it can look like an asthma attack, so using your hands, costs nothing and won't harm anything. I found doctors could only help with injections if I was in this asthmatic type of attack, but otherwise hadn't a clue how to help me.

Hi Chickadee, yep sounds like panic attack to me. Odd though when going to sleep, when one would be relaxed.

I have panic attacks, I've been told they afflict mostly very sensitive people who pick up vibes in shopping malls, or from negative people. Having a moon in Pisces or Cancer doesn't help.

    Edit: Sending you a pm.

So, I put my big girl panties on and went to visit with my doctor.
He told me I seem quite happy and healthy-
I've got to go for a whole lot of bloodwork and an ECG,
But he is suspecting my thyroid.

Hormonal disbalance can cause this so your doctor could be right to an extent.

I have experienced almost the same thing myself last year, and it did take a lot out of me energetically. I realized it had to do with the incoming energies trying to integrate itself with my body and I wasn't in the best shape of my life hence the hormonal imbalance. So, I didn't go see my doctor(though you should! ) but I fixed my problem with a healthy diet, lots of greens, exercise, and clean water.. It has helped me immensely so far. I hope you feel better in no time!

I had a really strange experience last Thursday night about 1am. It lasted for 3-4 hours. One of the weirdest nights of my life, and I have had many. I think they are conducting test runs for Etheric Breakthrough, AKA, the Event in certain areas. Cracks are appearing in the shell around Earth.

... or it could be just thyroid symptoms.(!)

We're going deeper down the rabbit hole.

I woke up with my hamstring stretched.

Nothing new though, my dreamtime is often far more interesting than my real time life, which isn't so bad either

    Hello Outlander,

I am totally new to this type of forum so excuse me if I may seem too simplistic in my reply. Every night I listen to music - I have a few 'favorite song lists' on Youtube and some nice small speakers. In the middle of the songlists I always include meditation music so that once I am really asleep, the meditation music can be a gentle guide for my soul-self to enjoy and relax to.
