"Paranoia" Driving Wealthy to Buy Homes in New Zealand

“Paranoia” is one of the primary factors motivating the wealthy to purchase secret getaways in New Zealand, according to one realtor, with concerns about personal safety and global crises driving the search to acquire a safe haven in a remote location.

During the Davos Economic Forum, economist Robert Johnson made headlines when he revealed that “hedge fund managers all over the world….are buying airstrips and farms in places like New Zealand because they think they need a getaway.”

Have to give them credit for responding to an approaching situation. Imagine, having a plan for when SHTF. Those stinking elites. They probably even have discussions about it amongst themselves. Shows how "evil" minds work.

You suppose they think New Zealand is geologically stable?

    Economically stable?

Lol maybe they're getting New Zealand mixed up with that fictional place called 'Sealand'.

I read the radio station wasn't continued there... that would have been awesome if it had.

Well for the special ones , New Zealand is low key , peaceful in general, quite a lot of good buys there as it has a decreeing population, the no 1 rated country in the world according to some statistic charts for i think 5 years in a row, It's not all bad ,just the little issue that it will probably sink one day, but hey Aus landia isn't far away either, Just have to cross the treacherous Tasman sea , Neither is the the south pole btw and then there is Norfolk island and lots of places like fiji ,new Caledonia, Tonga ect. all sorta a stones throw away .
Just that little issue of that squiggly line that one day will sink the place.
