    The Binary Codes Hy-Brasil

Going through my archive's and though this was worth a viewing

In 2010 it was revealed by Jim Penniston that he initiated a download of information when he touched the pictorial glyphs on the craft of unknown origin during his investigation in the early morning hours of December 26th, 1980, in Rendlesham Forest.

Background on how the binary code was received and revealed:
26 year old Sgt. James Penniston was part of the three man USAF Security Police team called to investigate the landed craft of unknown origin in Rendlesham Forest. The men with Sgt. Penniston, were A1C John Burroughs and A1C Ed Cabansag. Only Penniston and Burroughs went into the woods to investigate the landed craft, Cabansag stayed near the truck as a radio relay for the men.

Cabansag watched the mysterious pulsating multicolored lights in forest, while his two team members headed out on foot. As Penniston and Burroughs approached the unusual lights, they noticed abnormal sensations on their hair, skin and clothing. It seemed as though the air was electrically charged. Also, a time distortion occurred. According to the men, time seemed as though is slowed and it was difficult to move. Another odd characteristic, was everything was void of sound.

Now visable, the craft was sitting silently at the bottom of a berm, on the pine forest floor. Penniston cautiously approached the non aero dynamic, triangular, black, glassy craft. It was like nothing he had ever witnessed before or since. The craft had patterns of blue, yellow and red colors running through the surface as though part of the craft. It was very difficult to put into words what he was witnessing. Sgt. Penniston was versed in all types of aircraft, He was a United States Air Force trained aircraft observer and crash investigator. As part of his USAF advanced training he studied both the NATO and WARSAW PACT inventories of aircraft.

His up-close investigation of the craft included photographs, measurements and drawings, which he recorded into his USAF issued notebook. He took special note of the strange pictorial type markings on the side of the craft. These glyphs were logged by Sgt. Penniston (see picture below).

He also touched pictorial symbols etched onto the glasslike surface of the (9 foot by 9 foot ) black triangular craft.

When Sgt. Penniston put his hand on the etched symbols, which felt like sandpaper compared to the rest of the smooth molded surface, everything became a brilliant bright white. He could neither see nor hear. He was alone in a brilliant bright white light.

This occurred for an undetermined amount of time then his sight returned. He was standing next to the craft, facing the pictorial glyphs. The craft started to turn a vivid bright white color. So bright in fact, Sgt. Penniston thought it was going to explode. He took a defensive position nearby as the craft was engulfed in the light. The craft then lifted off approximately four feet from the ground, maneuvered between the trees, ascended to tree top level and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The following day after touching the main (largest) glyph:

The following day, back in his room Jim was "seeing" ones and zeros (1's and 0's) in his minds eye. Troubled by the revolving flashing images of ones and zeros he received from touching the glyphs, he felt compelled to write them down in a notebook. Jim records the ones and zeros in his notebook.

Upon completing the transfer to notebook paper, the image in his mind disappears. Jim puts the notebook away with his belongings and doesn’t think too much about again until the year 2010. In 2010, during a casual conversation with a researcher, he mentions the codes and displays the notebook. The researcher immediately recognizes the ones and zeros as binary code and sets out to help Jim decipher it.

Now this bit below is interesting The coordinates from the binary code (52.0942532N 13.131269W) point to a mythical island called Hy-Brasil. The island is now submerged off the coast of Ireland.Lets have a look at the code

    Rendlesham Binary Code Decoded

Here are the first five pages of the binary code Jim Penniston received in December 1980 as a result of initiating a program by making contact with a craft of unknown origin. During his investigation of the black glassy triangular craft, he touched some strange pictoral glyphs etched onto the skin. Jim's hand made physical contact with the strange glyphs on the craft and initiated a program in which Jim received binary code directly to his mind. The day after the incident he was troubled by the constant image of the binary code in his minds eye. Jim decides to recreate what he was "seeing" and writes sixteen pages of binary code. Here are the first five pages of that code:

    The Hy-Brasil Enigma

    "Hy-Brasil, the other Atlantis"

When discussing underwater lore and legends, Atlantis is an obvious subject of interest. However, the lost island of Hy-Brasil is just as intriguing and has more first-person accounts.
Hy-Brasil is also spelled Hy-Breasal, Hy-Brazil, Hy-Breasil, Brazir and related variations. It may be the reason that the South American country, Brazil, was so named. The central image on the Brazilian flag, a circle with a channel across the center, is the symbol for Hy-Brasil on
    early maps.

The name of Hy-Brasil may come from the Middle Ages term brazil, which seems to indicate a source of rare red dye. The dye may have acquired its name from the legendary island, or vice versa. Or, the name Hy-Brasil, also called the Fortunate Island, may originate with the old Irish word, breas, meaning noble or fortunate.

In folklore, this island country takes its name from Breasal, the High King of the World, in Celtic history.(He may or may not be related to Bresal Echarlam mac Echach Baethlaim, from the stories of Lugh at Tara. He was not St. Breasal, although pre-Christian folklore may be the foundation for that saint's legends.)Hy-Brasil was noted on maps as early as 1325, when Genoese cartographer Dalorto placed the island west of Ireland. On successive sailing charts, it appears southwest of Galway Bay. On some 15th century maps, islands of the Azores appear as Isola de Brazil, or Insulla de Brazil. After 1865, Hy-Brasil appears on few maps since its location could not be verified.

Regardless of the name or location, the island's history is consistent: It is the home of a wealthy and highly advanced civilization. Those who visited the island returned with tales of gold-roofed towers and domes, healthy cattle, and opulent citizens.

The lore of Hy-Brasil is equally fascinating. For example, it is shrouded in fog or perhaps beneath the ocean, and appears only briefly, once every seven years. The island has been visited by many people for centuries. Both Saint Barrind and Saint Brendan found the island on their respective voyages, and returned home with nearly identical descriptions of Hy-Brasil, which they dubbed the "Promised Land."

One of the most famous visits to Hy-Brasil was in 1674 by Captain John Nisbet of Killybegs, Co. Donegal, Ireland. He and his crew were in familiar waters west of Ireland, when a fog came up. As the fog lifted, the ship was dangerously close to rocks. While getting their bearings, the ship anchored in three fathoms of water, and four crew members rowed ashore to visit Hy-Brasi

This is really fascinating, thank you for sharing this. I was thinking about Hy-Brazil recently. I seem to have some distant faint memories surrounding the island.

    simply fascinating. Malcolm.

the most puzzling thing about this story to me at least, is the shape of the craft, i was lead to believe this incident was with a triangular craft , but the sort vid shows a triangular bell type craft. i would love to know who (which race) they were .

two of the destinations i was unaware of:
portara at temple of Apollo Greece

The Portara stands on Palatia, which was once a hill but is now a separate little island connected to Naxos by a causeway. (The Mediterranean has risen significantly since ancient times.)

The Portara is the entrance to an unfinished temple that faces directly toward Delos, Apollo's birthplace. For this reason most scholars believe it was dedicated to Apollo, but some think it was built in honor of Dionysus, who was worshipped on Naxos Island.

Whichever god it was dedicated to, the temple was begun about 530 BC by the tyrant Lygdamis, who said he would make Naxos's buildings the highest and most glorious in Greece. Only the walls were mostly completed when he was overthrown in 506 BC; the temple was never finished. Evidence from pottery indicates the temple's cult was abandoned by the 5th century BC.

By the 5th and 6th centuries AD, the temple had been converted into a church. Under Venetian and Turkish rule the temple was dismantled so its marble could be used to build a castle. The doorway, however, was so large and heavy it could not be used, so it remains standing alone among the ruins.

Tai Shan is one of the birthplaces of the Chinese civilisation, evidence of human activity dating back 400,000 years to Yiyuan Man of the Palaeolithic Period. By Neolithic times, 5,000-6,000 years ago, it had become a significant cultural centre with two cultures flourishing, the Dawenkou to the north and the Longshan to the south of the mountain.

The Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 B.C.) of the Zhou Dynasty (1100-221 B.C.) witnessed the first flare of cultural creativity with the emergence of two rival states in the area, Qi to the north and Lu to the south of the mountain.

During the Warring States Period (475-221 B.C.), the state of Qi built a 500km long wall as protection from possible invasion by the state of Chu. The ruins of this earliest of great walls in Chinese history are still evident.

According to the doctrine of five elements, which dates back to the Spring and Autumn Period, the east signifies birth and spring. Thus, standing at the eastern edge of the North China Plain, Tai Shan has always been regarded as pre-eminent among China's five sacred mountains, first officially recognised during the reign of Emperor Wu Di of the Han Dynasty (206 B.C. - A.D. 220).

For over 3,000 years, Chinese emperors of various dynasties have made pilgrimages to Tai Shan for sacrificial and other ceremonial purposes. These activities have acquired political significance. Rock inscriptions, stone tablets and temples bear testimony to such visits. Renowned scholars, including Confucius whose home town, Qufu, is only 70km away, have composed poetry and prose and left their calligraphy on the mountain.

over the years, I thought I'd heard all there was to know about the 'forest' incident.
this is all new to me.
    outstanding post, malc.
you must have one heck of an archive.

how could anyone transcribe all that binary code from memory?
    that alone is mind boggling.

and how would you like to be Sgt. James Penniston?
that guy must feel haunted to this day.
he was 'touched' and then what –
what do you do with it?

I remember from the Billy Meier material, that the Hyperboreans were from Hi-Brazil, and that these same folks moved to Florida first at the sinking of Hi-Brazil, and then to Mt. Shasta.

    Wiki The Hyperboreans

In Greek mythology the Hyperboreans (Ancient Greek: Ὑπερβόρε(ι)οι, pronounced [hyperbre(ː)ɔi̯]; Latin: Hyperborei) were mythical people who lived "beyond the North Wind". The Greeks thought that Boreas, the god of the North Wind (one of the Anemoi, or "Winds") lived in Thrace, and therefore Hyperborea indicates a region that lay far to the north of Thrace.

This land was supposed to be perfect, with the sun shining twenty-four hours a day, which to modern ears suggests a possible location within the Arctic Circle. However, it is also possible that Hyperborea had no real physical location at all, for according to the classical Greek poet Pindar,

Does anyone remember the Dr Jonathon Reed encounter? He described a small black obelisk of a ship. Very similar to the Rendalshim craft.

Hy-brasil brings to mind both the Irish and Welsh legends of the 'Otherworld', regarded as a land or islands in the Western Sea, a place of eternal summer, plenitude and immortality.

    Tai Shan Qu in China.

I’ve spent a long time on Google Earth checking out the coordinates that were given, and they showed some interesting places. The place called Tai Shan Qu in China was really impressive with walkways and steps that remind me of the Great Wall of China in magnitude, and it seems to be a popular place for the Chines to visit themselves because it is been maintained as a sacred place for ages and ages.

I copied a few pictures to show just a little part of it here:

The landscape of Mount Taishan as one of the five sacred mountains in traditional China is a unique artistic achievement. The eleven gates, the fourteen archways, the fourteen kiosks and the four pavilions, which are scattered along the flight of 6,660 steps that rise between heaven and earth are not just simple architectural achievements, but are the final touches by human hands to the elements of a splendid natural site. Its very size places this scenic landscape, which has evolved over a period of 2,000 years, among the most grandiose human achievements of all time.

Mount Taishan bears unique testimony to the lost civilizations of imperial China, most particularly in relation to their religions, arts and letters. For 2,000 years it was one of the principal places of worship where the emperor paid homage to Heaven and Earth in the Fengshan sacrifices, conducted by the Son of Heaven himself. Since the time of the Han Dynasty, it has been one of the five mountains symbolizing the Celestial Kingdom, in accordance with the Doctrine of the Five Elements, a fundamental premise in Chinese thought.

Mount Taishan is an outstanding example of a sacred mountain. The Palace of Heavenly Blessings (1,008 CE), located inside the Temple to the God of Taishan, is one of the three oldest palaces in China. The Azure Cloud Temple, also constructed under the Song Dynasty, is typical of a mountain architectural complex in the arrangement of its courtyards and buildings, and the Divine Rock Temple with its Thousand Buddhas Hall are outstanding and complete examples of great temples. Together they illustrate the cultural and religious aspects of the Tang and Song periods.

    Caracol in Belize

I'll be working further on the coordinates later.

The name Caracol is Spanish for "snail shell" and was given because of the inordinate numbers of snail shells found there. Caracol remains one of the more difficult ruins in Belize to access, however a significant portion of the road leading to Caracol has been paved and getting there gives visitors the chance to travel on one of the more scenic roads in Belize.
At the peak of its existence, the Mayan city of Caracol covered some sixty-five square miles and was home to more than 100,000 people. It is a Classic period urban centre, comprising a central ceremonial area converged on by causeways leading to the outlying structures. The site's special features include the buildings surrounding the A court, which functioned during the Early Classic period as an astronomical observatory. Following a now familiar pattern, many of the site's pyramids were constructed in the Early Classic period, and later covered over by ever more impressive structures
Since it's rediscovery in the 1920s, archaeologists have found the earliest dated carved stelae in Belize, dating back to 400 A.D., and unearthed the massive structure called Canaa or "Sky Place". This pyramid is the tallest and largest man made structure in Belize.
Additionally, a recent discovery of glyphs at Caracol, apparently portraying a military victory over Tikal suggests to archeologists that this centre was supreme in the region.

    Sedona Arizona

This is a place you have to see to believe and if they say it’s sacred I would accept that on face value. This is some of the official history. Take it or leave it, I cut it as short as I could, there should be more to it this than what they say, because it’s one of the coordinates given.

    Some pictures for you:

Sedona is located in the Upper Sonoran Desert of northern Arizona at an elevation of 4500 feet.

Uptown Sedona (the part in Coconino County) and West Sedona (the Yavapai County portion) form the City of Sedona. Originally founded in 1902, the town was incorporated into a city in January 1988. The Village of Oak Creek, despite its location seven miles (11 km) to the south and outside Sedona city limits, is a significant part of the community.

The city of Phoenix lies 114 miles to the south, Las Vegas is 278 miles to the northwest and Los Angles is 482 miles to the west. The Grand Canyon is 110 miles north of Sedona.

    The Geology of Sedona

The famous Red Rocks of Sedona are one of the most beautiful natural sites in the United States. Part of the eroding Mogollon Rim of the vast Colorado plateau.

Sedona’s canyon walls show nine layers of stone from different geological periods spanning hundreds of millions of years. There are six layers of sandstone, two thin layers of limestone and atop all of these, one igneous layer of basalt stone. The different sandstone and limestone layers were formed by wind blown sand dunes or mud deposited by inland seas. The red colors of some of the sandstone layers are the result of iron oxide staining the rocks over great periods of time. The uppermost igneous layer was deposited by volcanic eruptions 14.5 million years ago and once covered the entire Verde Valley several meters deep in lava.

The Verde Valley, meaning Green Valley, is so named because of the natural copper, appearing green when extracted from the ground, which had long been mined in the nearby hills and not because of the colors of local vegetation. The waters of Oak Creek come from the many natural springs along the course of the creek and not, as is commonly assumed, from melting snow of the nearby sacred mountain of Kachina Peak.

Traces of the Sinagua may be found in the remains of their ruined pueblos scattered around the Sedona area. Sites such as Palatki, Honanki, and Wupatki had dozens of rooms in double story buildings and were decorated with intriguing pictographs and petroglyphs depicting clan affiliations, mythological beings and astronomical observations. Archaeologists theorize that the Sinagua may have conducted religious celebrations during particular periods determined by their celestial observations.

Wow interesting stuff Malc and all, thanks.

Don't know if this links to this at all but when I read the post it reminded me of these guys.

The Tuatha Dé Danann opponents of the Fomorians,

The Fomorians, as depicted by John Duncan (1912)

Interesting pic. Ancient Montauk project perhaps? lol.

    The Book of Invasions (Lebor Gebála Érénn compiled c.1150) claims in a poem that they came to Ireland riding in “flying ships” surrounded by “dark clouds.” They landed on Sliabh an Iarainn (the Iron Mountain) in Co. Leitrim, where they “brought a darkness over the sun lasting three days.” There is a lovely line which illustrates perfectly the bewilderment felt towards these conquerors;

“The truth is not known, beneath the sky of stars,

Whether they were of heaven or earth.”

A later version of the story relegates the flying ships to mere sailing ships. The dark clouds became towering columns of smoke as the ships were set alight, a warning to observers that the Danann were here to stay. Clearly, the monks recording this story were trying to make sense of something which was well out of their comfort zone.

And so we have our first dilemma; which story to believe. Did they arrive from the skies, or from across the sea?
Source: The Tuatha De Danann: Were they Irish gods or aliens?

It goes on to mention about the four treasures of Eirean. One mentioned is:

The Dagda’s Cauldron - Also known as the ‘Cauldron of Plenty’ (Coire Ansic in Irish, pronounced Kwee-ra On-sik). It was made by Semias of the northern city of Murias. Not much is known about this vessel, although it was thought to have had the power to bring the dead back to life, and that “none would go from it unsatisfied.” Dr. Ulf Erlingsson has suggested that the giant stone basin found in the eastern passage of the central mound at Knowth, part of the Newgrange complex, could be the Dagda’s Cauldron, and that the concentric circular design depicted on it could be a map of Atlantis, as described by Plato. How could the Danann have come by this knowledge?
and another one was mentioned by Frances on the excellent post he did on shiva lingas here.

The Stone of Destiny at the Hill of Tara.

The Lia Fáil - Also known as the Stone of Destiny, and the Coronation Stone. It was made by Morfessa of Falias, and brought into Ireland by the Danann, where they duly placed it at the Hill of Tara, in Co. Meath. Legend has it that its cry confirmed the coronation of the rightful High King of Ireland, and that its roar could be heard throughout the land. It was broken in half sometime later by Cuchullain when it failed to proclaim him or his protégé. One half was carried away to Scotland, where it eventually ended up in the throne of the British monarchy, although there is a whisper that the true stone was hidden, possibly beneath the River Tay, and remains there to this day. A stone with a voice sounds too fanciful to be true, but perhaps it was misunderstood; perhaps the stone was no more than a stage upon which the new king stood, his voice amplified by some sort of early (or alien?) microphone.
On a different note, Abraham Ortelius, put brasil on his map the Typus Orbis Terrarum from 1570.

Love the effort you guys put in to these kind of threads, glad you bumped it Malc.

    Cheers,
