I'd say stay away from prophecies, prophets and their kin, bible in particular. It's the biggest piece of predictive programming in living history
If you predict something long enough, eventually you will be right, for mankind has proven it has a great propensity to create chaos in one way or another.
As for weather disasters (floods, earthquakes, etc.) if one believes many of the great mystics, mankind creates those as well, as Gaia and other elements react to our emotions.
according to the logic that even a broken clock shows the right time twice daily.
