    Any TOR Users here?

    Hi All,

I have long wanted to download TOR for anonymous browsing, but have been reluctant. I've heard it really slows things down, is that true? Is it easy to download? Any problems I should be aware of? Bear in mind I am a 'low-tech' kinda person. Any additional considerations when using TOR?

The last thing I want is for it to cause havoc on my computer. Any tips from TOR users would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

I never use google, only 'start page'. Any other considerations for keeping anonymous on the web? Email to use? I've been on the list for anonymous 'start page email' for a couple of years but nothing has ever come of it.

    Cheers,
    Sooz

This guy seems to know what he's talking about:

I know there are geeky ways to be crafty on the web but there really aren't any stealthy ways to get around for non geeks.
