The song that defines me changes all the time. Currently, it's this one. Not sure what the true meaning is, but I feel like it personifies my attempts to find myself, looking everywhere but the right place.

At this moment in time, this is my chosen song.....as for me it never fails to invoke powerful heartfelt emotions.

I had to whittle this down from quite a large pool (like most people, I expect). But I checked my iTunes to see which song had been played most often — it seemed to make sense that the one with which I felt most "in tune" (pun sadly intended) would be one I'd play a little more than the others. Well this one came out as the clear leader, with a playcount of nearly a thousand.
This is a song my boyfriend's mother asked me to sing, and I'll always be grateful to her for giving it to me. I'd never really heard of the artists before and to this day I don't know many of their other songs (they're really not my style lol), but this one never fails to get right on in there lol. There have been nights I've fallen asleep listening to this one song on repeat. Anyway, it's "After All These Years" by Foster and Allen.
