    The Ancestry of Man

The Ancestry of Man by William Lewis

I found this interesting website while Googling “Prison Planet”. William Lewis’s writing reflects thoughts that echoes others here on TOT. Here’s what he has to say about Internment (the picture is unrelated):

The universe is a vast and diversified place. Science believes that there is a strong probability that life may exist elsewhere in the universe, but until it can be verified, refuses to state it as fact. It is probable that the “source” of life did not disperse throughout the universe selectively, and therefore, if life exists on Earth, it must also exist on other worlds. Even though there may be life forms that we are unaware of, the majority will be very similar to those found on Earth. The same creatures that have roamed this planet are sure to have roamed other planets with similar climatic and environmental conditions. In fact, it was from similar planets that we were taken. Our origin and genealogy is extraterrestrial. We are aliens from space, and everything about us is the hard scientific proof that verifies it. We have been misled about our origin many times throughout the millenniums, first by religions, then by science. Humans did not evolve on the planet Earth, and there is not a shred of hard scientific evidence to prove that we did. Whether we like it, deny it, accept it or reject it, our ancestors were exiled onto this planet.

Before our ancestors were placed here, they lived freely throughout the universe. We are the direct descendants, and distant relatives of the extraterrestrials that still do. We once shared all the rights, responsibilities and technologies of those societies. But, at some point in the last 100,000 years, something, perhaps a mutagen (a physical or chemical agent that changes genetic material) caused a genetic flaw, and Cro-Magnoids (our ancestors) begin to exhibit insanity and criminal behaviour. As existing penal institutions became overwhelmed, finding a workable 'humane solution' to the growing problem became a necessity. It is my belief that, in the end, the decision was made that for the good of all, testing was done to identify, and isolate those who possessed the errant genetic code. Earth is a prison planet.

Our ancestors were selected for exile because that errant code was hidden in their Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). Many argued that it was unfair to punish those who had done no wrong, other than to have been born into a certain family. However, despite considerable protest, entire generations of deviant Cro-Magnon “races”, from a multitude of planets, were identified and quarantined. Intergalactic conferences were then most likely arranged to decide their fate. Debates were probably intense, with solutions ranging from extermination to exile. The final vote was taken, a humane course of action won, and exile was chosen. A suitable location was then needed to serve as a prison planet.

The conditions for our exile were:

    1) no memory of former lives
    2) no tools or technology
    3) a hospitable planet far from intergalactic civilization
    4) no direct contact or interference in development
    5) periodic monitoring and assessment

The reasoning for these conditions was to prevent any possibility of escape. It is thought that, due to previous attempts to genetically alter species that went horribly wrong, universal law forbade the genetic alteration of life. So, instead of being genetically 'corrected', their memories were erased with the intent that, once stripped of all recollection of their former abilities, the incarcerated would remain in a primal state. The desirable location for the prison planet needed to be so distant from intergalactic society that it would prevent any interference that could trigger technological development. Monitoring and assessment was scheduled to determine our progress (or destruction). It was agreed that, should the mutant gene become extinct, or, in some way correct itself, the incarcerated would be 'considered' for re-integration into interstellar society.

Scouts reported an ideal planet orbiting a star on the outskirts of the Andromeda galaxy.
A massive interstellar transport fleet was assembled (of what are known as UFOs), our ancestors were loaded, and the long trip toward our destiny on a prison planet began. Once we arrived, they began the prisoner transfer.
