Manly Hall - Love of Truth

I watched this video and found it most interesting, and thought provoking.

Thought I would share with others.

The video describes in part how spiritually nature works as a kind of teacher, and our life is a kind of classroom in which we gently learn
and experience the love of truth.

Thanks Vitalux. Manly Palmer Hall was one of my first teachers, so this was a wonderful reminder for me. Back in the early 60's I was browsing in a used bookstore - (and I know this has happened to many others), - a book literally fell off the shelf at my feet. It was Hall's book "Self Unfoldment". Intrigued by the title, I bought it; and hence my spiritual path had begun.

For those who don't have the time to listen to this lengthy video, I encourage you to begin at the halfway mark. Lots of good information and reminders here.

Recently, humanity has accepted that Gaia is a living organism that has a consciousness. But do we remember that is true of everything around us. Every rock, tree, pen, glass and yes, even our computers (which sometimes scare some, at the thought). The ancients gave them names Zoar, Zeus, etc., and we think of that as mythology, but is it?

I often ponder: If we would treat them again as the entities that they are, would our relationship would our environment improve. Those who work closely with plants and animals have often recognized that. But do we forget - even this keyboard I push and the chair I sit on - also has a consciousness.

Hall also speaks of doing what's best for the whole, rather than a selfish attitude, and how we attract a being that stays with us for life when we put truth and others first.

How are bodies are countries that we govern over - how are we doing with that?

Good stuff here - and for me, he always ends on a positive and inspiring note.

Mythology isn't just the inane ramblings of superstitious and primitive people. For those who know where to look, and how, there is a lot of information in mythology. Many of the details around Thor, for instance, talk of earth physics, while the origin and life Asclepius contain knowledge of alchemy.

To those who have no idea, they are just stories. People tend to assume that humans have always been as literal and unimaginative as they are now, though there is much to suggest we have become less, not more, in the progression of millennia.

I must admit the concept that everything has a degree of consciousness resonates with me and has done for some time.
I'm sure most of us have thanked our food, talked to plants and maybe considered that even our vehicles connect to us at some level or another.
Ultimately, it would be wonderful to simply communicate with all things in complete harmony but is that even possible?
Maybe that is the way things really are at source but as separate beings we are surely alone and seemingly separated from this oneness and connection to all?
Perhaps the notion that we volunteered to have this life experience was part of that, and to be separated from a one consciousness into individual beings with freewill is simply part of gods plan?
Perhaps we only stop reincarnation when a soul achieves the spiritual ability to connect to one and all by pure unified consciousness?
On the complete flip side, maybe there has never been this "source" and as unique spiritual beings, we are simply trying to create it as we evolve as a species.
Either way, I would love to know before going round this carousel of life all over again.

    Russ

I have come to believe that reincarnating is also a choice. You can choose not to come back. The conumdrum is: We have been 'programmed' to believe 2 things.

    1) that we have to come back to work off Karma
    2) that we have to come back to learn

There is also the problem of our addiction to materialism. Some come back to become: A successful businessman, or successful actor, or artist (you fill in the blank).

just listening to the part on speaking truth!
    it does raise a question.
many people do not like truth in fact they will condemn you for it.
on coming home tonight i thought of the words speak no evil see no evil hear no evil.
and straight away i thought bull****!
    a example would be.

someone works hard to provide for their family.
    someone steals something.
are you not suppose to say anything?
if you do say something you are seen as not someone who speaks truth but as a grass!
you have done nothing wrong but the majority of people dislike it!
and they condemn you even more than the thief?.

but on the other hand speaking and living truth is empowering, liberating and dare i say enlightening?
we are taught to speak lies as we follow corrupt governments and everyone is out for their self.

but maybe truth is a love to teach a lesson.
maybe we all have to experience it even though many won,t understand it!
so for someone who speaks the truth it can be hard as well because it can create a lot of enemies?
as the saying goes no one can face the truth!

we come back to experience the things we have not experienced in former lives.
whether it be materialism,a emotion or a learning curve.
i think i have mentioned it before...you wanna be rich..be so...the next time you will be poor!

maybe you will experience everything for source in your own personal way until you find that enlightenment within one self and can live in your world without fear or worry and Gaia will provide for you as you become attuned to her.

i truly believe that their are people on this planet now who have reached that level and live among st us but on another level.
two dimensions only slightly apart from the power of perception, knowing and enlightenment.

it,s just a matter of attuning yourself to that frequency.

by speaking truth and living it is one of the first steps.

just finished listening to it.glad i wrote this before i had.just more conformation for me

Personally Babs, I have no recollection of having any previous lives before this one.
Its just that this eventful life, has............ felt like many lives.
Perhaps I have a keen interest in true history and a creative imagination but beyond that I think I would have picked up on any "erasure" in my case.
Of course, I am not saying reincarnation does not exist for others but in my case it would be escapism rather than reality.
The fact that I have previously claimed to have seen visionary things from the past, does not confirm that I have actually been there, at least not in a physical body anyway.

highland1 you seem to contradict your self their .
how else would you experience past lifes?
    either through visions,dreams trances.obe,s ect.
our physical body is here and now our consciousness is everywhere whether in dreams, locked memory,s,intuition of things.
it is unlocking the consciousness part of us that will help us remember.
but on the other hand you could be a new soul.

then there is imagination and true experience!
knowing things ahead of time, synchronicity, deja vue, intuition.

what do all these tell you?

is it the imagination or are they signposts that your on the right track?

each of these are personal to you.

by being true to yourself the more you will experience.

but like i said being true can also be a scary prospect as it will test you.

i do also think that someday on your timeline your gonna say enough is enough.
i have lived this life in all it,s aspects and different outcomes.

now i want to live true and free.

by that i do not mean that we pass over and live in god,s kingdom.
but that we can live it here on earth as it is what it was created for.

for all the conspiratorial theories of alien abductions or our dna tampered with for us to be a slave race.

we have one thing going for us.

    that is our soul.

that divine spark that all the entities want to diminish.

was it said that the angels where jealous of man because he had that divine spark?
    that they hated man?

who needs angel when you have a direct line to source?
only problem is he has been busy for the most of my part

Thank you, as well as others for the feedback.

The thoughts which appear in my mind are that all events occurring in the world are working exactly the way they were created to do so.
Like, an actor/actress caught up in a movie, we might pose the question, "who am I?" , however who we are, and where we are appear to just be a fiction.

Most feedback from others tends to paint the afterlife (heaven) as a place containing matter and a materialistic environment.
For those that have experienced detachment of the consciousness from the physical body, matter is something we loath to return to.

My current thoughts is we are in a classroom, of our own free will.

I visited such a place while OOB many years ago and it was as real as real could be. I was living in Cape Town and hadn't seen my family for about three years and was feeling homesick. Having had a few "local" OOBs I decided that I would visit them astrally, so when I felt the familiar stirrings I gave myself a mental boost (warp speed to cover the 3,000 miles I thought I would be travelling (silly me . As it was, I travelled much further than that, although I have no idea whether it was to another dimension or a plane.

I would love to know more about dimensions and planes but the internet doesn't easily give up the information that I'm looking for. Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I think we're probably all in the same boat there, Calabash. Those that say they know are often new-age charletans OR well meaning people, who have an idea, a thought of what it might all mean.

I have only had 3 OBE. Neither time was I trying to have them. All 3 times I was given information. My feeling was it was orchestrated by someone else. (But who? my higher self; ET's angels, my soul group, or me and I was just thinking it was someone else) . I've never spend anytime trying to figure out the who - and the why seemed obvious - to give me, in one case show me something I needed to know.

No answers here, but some of my ponderings:

What is OB. . . we don't really have bodies, do we? We just 'think' we have bodies. Like everything else, we're just energetic beings - lots of proton/electrons swirling around at fantastic speeds.

So, there is nothing to get "out of". But what makes me think I have a body. My consciousness - or Divine Consciousness - or 3D consciousness - Some ET group that wants us in this consciousness for whatever reason?

I have had brief moments (as probably many of you have) of letting this 3D place get fuzzy. Twice to the point where it all disappeared. Both times I was with someone else. First time, I quickly panicked. Where did everything go? Second time (20 yrs later - much more evolved) I stayed with it for probably 5-10 minutes. Had the realization that there is nothing but consciousness - 2 minds communicating. But after that time period of nothingness, I began to search for what should have been there and it all appeared.

What does any of that mean? Neither case no drugs, etc involved. Each time it was the fear of nothingness that brought everything back.

My suspicion (totally unfounded) is that we are creating everything and then it becomes real to the point that we buy into it. We begin to love or hate the scenario - our attachment to it keeps it going. That's what all this non-attachment mystics keep telling us is about.

While some see non-attachment as moving away from society, most still have their attachments, they're just different attachments than the normally accepted ones. Their tobacco or music or crystals or herbs, some special clothing that's different from mainstream.

But what we're not detaching from is our belief systems, which are what are anchoring us here.

Am I delusional with these ponderings? Maybe.:spinning:

I suspect the harder we try to get out of here, the more concrete we make here.
