The Elephant in the room, though, is the Syria standoff last October when Putin threatened them so seriously that they stood down.

This war of words against Putin is very probably supposed to make him a lot weaker in the eyes of the world when they next line up their ducks for a Syria - Iran - Saudi invasion. If he can no longer stand strong, they can finish the job in the middle east.

I think they really want him to invade Ukraine. If he did fall for it ( and he's currently talking himself right into the corner of having to if things take a turn for the worse there ) the Russian military will be hamstrung AND the general political Russian 'stock' will be rock bottom, just as they switch their attention back to Syria, where he stopped them in their tracks before.

I like this one. It made me laugh out loud. Simply delicious.

Me too! almost choked on my wine!

I also enjoyed this video posted by Modwiz #54
Modwiz: I am 9 minutes into this video. It is Pooters alone in a room with newspeople. There is a lot of information with the demeanor of the setting and proceedings, IMO. It is a rare opportunity to see a statesman at work. If the first 10 minutes are any indication of the rest, then this is Putin the diplomat and not the bare chested bear rider in a photoshopped picture. I cannot expect to see this interview in full at any MSM source. Unless they can find snippets to juxtapose against straw man arguments.

It was interesting on several levels. Putin is at same level as reporters, rather than standing above them.

When is the last time you've seen a US president talk without a monitor "telling" him what to say? Putin knows what's going on. US presidents rely on their advisors (handlers?) to bring them up to speed.

Yes. That is what is was indicating with my commenting on the demeanor of the proceedings. I do not worry about this man doing something rash.

The last 10 minutes were very good, IMO. His comment about the Ukrainian Pres. and his "lack of will" to do what he was obligated to do as the leader of his country. Although the legal President, it was clear that Pooters considers him a weak POS.

I found the video rich in so many ways. Including the two iterations of Russian flags behind him. One did not have the admiralty gold fringe while the eagle emblazoned one did.

    Also from Kurt Nimo:

In a leaked audio recording of a telephone call between Estonia’s Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and EU foreign affairs boss Catherine Ashton, Paet told his counterpart leaders of the Euromaidan movement that would ultimately overthrow the government of Viktor Yanukovych were likely behind sniper killing last month.

I'll even go as far as to suggest that the snipers were really western 'special forces'.

One of the dynamics that we are dealing with in Europe is the 'race' memory of populations who lived under Soviet Russia. At least two generations having their genetics and culture shaped by the oppressive Soviet Bear. This coding is like the coding of a chicken reacting to a hawk overhead. It is instinctual. It is a program that runs and creates their reality. That the Bear is no longer a grizzly and is now a black bear that requires prodding to get ornery, is not perceived. For them, a bear is a bear and it strikes fear into their marrow.

This is why Poland is such a willing dupe for the West. They are on the wrong side of history, IMO but, I can see out of their eyes and it very different from my own. They are just pawns as long as they stand for duty. Quite sad. In many ways they can't help themselves and their unfortunate history shapes them to their current fate.

Another angle that came to me.

We see and feel something alike here. It's been strikingly obvious that Poland has got a firework up it's ass somehow. It's been going on for years. Also, they have been deeply involved in the mind control/mind bending 'camps' where the 'drone' suicide bombers in the middle east and elsewhere have been programmed. I can't quite remember where I got this info from. I think a lot of it came from just joining the dots when a pile of data was released about CIA planes flying schedules a few years back, there were a massive number of 'black flights' into and out of Poland eventually admitted to, but no explanation for why.

Well now ... isn't *THIS* interesting???

What "invasion"? Russia has 16,000 military personnel in Crimea even though its 1999 agreement with Ukraine permits it to have up to 25,000‏

Yes, and if the mere presence of troops constituted invasion, we'd be hard pushed to find a country the US hadn't invaded.

That race memory Modwiz spoke of has a chance to change now, if present experience will be allowed to overcome inbred suspicion.

This based on a newspaper in Spain (I have not vetted ... simply passing along).

I cannot post (or watch) the video right now. Take link.

As tensions build, U.S. facing 'zero options' in Ukraine

Stephen Cohen, professor emeritus of Russian studies at New York University in the US discusses the situation with the Ukraine below. (4 and a half minute video)

"I think we have seen the descent of a new Cold War divide... this time not in Berlin, but on Russia's borders..." - Stephen Cohen

Along with the below video, according to the "La Republica" newspaper in Spain, the Chinese government took three actions a day ago against the United States:

-China told the U.S. State Department that unless the U.S. changes its position on the situation in the Ukraine, China will demand repayment of U.S. debts in GOLD

-China allegedly came to an agreement with Turkey to prohibit NATO vessels from entering the Black Sea via Istanbul's Bosporus Strait

-China made clear it will use its Veto power in the UN Security Council to block any UN action against Russia.
