Speaking of child rearing, I have tried very hard to get one thing across to my almost-grown girls. Okay, many things....haha....but this one has merit: No is a necessary word. But be careful to only use it when necessary.

I could expand on that thought, but figure I don't really need to in present company.

... but I think all families and all situations vary for many different reasons.

So many elements come into the mix (past life as well).

Oh, Dan, you are such a sweetie. Thank you so much for saying so. I was just telling a friend this morning that I was feeling like I had hit a bit of a standstill. I'm working really, really hard to let go of old stuff, and just as hard trying to Allow All that I Am to move inside me. I've hit and passed the 30 day mark of doing my thing every day, and maybe it's doing what it is supposed to. I hope like the dickens I am helping those around me.

I have the next four days off. I do wish my worry switch had an off position. I'm very fortunate, and very grateful, to be able to visit dear friends. I will have to take pictures of course, and bring souvenirs back. I wonder if I will find anything suitable for the tent walls. Hmmm...It would have to be something unusual for sure. We shall see.

I used to worry an awful lot, too, until I realised something: If I can change something, I should change it and there is no need to worry; if I cannot change something, I cannot, and there is no point in worrying.

Worry is a subconscious habit and to break it you need what is required to break any habit: enough conscious effort to sap the momentum from the habit and replace it with a new habit. In other words, you have to proactively combat your impulse to worry for as long as it takes for that impulse to die down. Rational arguments such as the one I presented above, which the conscious mind requires, are useful as focuses by which to fortify the strength of your conscious mind to keep up its resilience while that subconscious drive is weakened and eventually removed. If you can realise that in no instance whatsoever is worry actually useful, either because it is superfluous or because it is ineffectual, your conscious mind should have the ability to hang in there until the subconscious mind realises you're no longer engaging with that impulse, at which point it will stop trying.
