One of the things this thread wants to bring attention to is the emerging multi-polar world. I look for clips that are hours or less than a few days old.

At the pace is the world is moving, even a week is old news.

    The focus here is Africa.

This video could be considered a compliment of the above video.

It's exciting watching the African nations sprout some wings to fly, good for them! Interesting some of these leaders are being likened to Moamar Ghadaffy, the results are likely to be much different this go around, and they seem to know that already.

Sickly old colonial powers would do well to back off (hello Macron?) and give some elbow room at this point, if they're not careful, they may go the way of The Sick old Man.

I think the concept of a multi polar world is all but lost on Western society, the delusions of grandeur run deep, and what little bit we do see is mostly presented as a hostile threat to national security and our way of life.

I never turned on the sound while I watched this and it is five years old.

But, Clare's presentation style is timeless.

    Priceless.

She's gotten noticeably angry since then. Rhetorical question: I wonder why?

The Guardian for example, is there scanning for malfeasance, and being a voice for the powerless 24/7...

Found this 2017 Rense interview of Webster Tarpley about the history of Ukraine.

I've always liked smart conspiracy theorists and Tarpley is one.

I like Jeffrey Sachs on Realpolitick. He thinks Trump is a racist who led an insurrection (Jan.6), which I think is harsh, but screw domestic politics, and it probably gives Jeff greater credibility with many. Jeffrey is the kind of high-profile American that is not an embarassment. Top notch and world class.

And he makes an African man smile. Bigly Heartwarming actually.

Thomas and Sara do their last Hocus Focus until the end of July. They deserve a break after a long run of shows filled with content. It is a stuctured, but loose format and transitions are low tech and analog. It all adds up to a great homey feeling. They consider their material to lean towards the Fortean.

It begins with a fcus on the sinking of the Titanic. Looking at it from a Fortean perspective free of conspiratorial hints.

Charles Hoy Fort (August 6, 1874 – May 3, 1932) was an American writer and researcher who specialized in anomalous phenomena. The terms "Fortean" and "Forteana" are sometimes used to characterize various such phenomena. Fort's books sold well and are still in print. His work continues to inspire admirers, who refer to themselves as "Forteans", and has influenced some aspects of science fiction.[1]

    Roger that.

I still like the show. Sara makes it work for his ass.

No plans to hang around with him.
