    ...and words of wisdom.
I actually like the contrast of no words here and words over there (at eye-rise). It's been his way to offer less words here. He has been here for a long time and it's not the same membership, not by a long stretch.

And that stretch comes from/goes in many directions...

Greetings, denizens of the Tent and the greater Shire that surrounds it. This shall henceforth be a place for sharing wisdom and meaning, no longer shall it be merely a stop off for memes and eye candy or conversely a flash point for drama. Lord knows I have contributed my share in the past, and in Rad's absence I will take up the mantle of OP, until his eventual return.

It is a quiet place from which I shall express, long have I reserved my ideas, but the time for that has become short. So, let us get while the getting is good, so to speak.

I've missed this place, and will continue to miss what we once had going. While it isn't ever to be the same, it will be yet something worthwhile.

    Thank you, PL.

A return to peace, respect, ideas and ideals sounds wonderful.

I am willing to set aside my time of silence, if doing so will help create such a space once again.

Children are learning how to be with the world (whether it is a simulation means little because we are IN the world as it appears). Playing in the collective world as an art form is possible for all ages. I'ds like me a companion or many to play.

I recall reading a bit that made me so sad as it touched on how I never was comfortable with my peers. The kind of push and shove of kindergarten and making friends there was so hard that I can still feel it. What I read is that a group that has formed might all be in the sand box in a game. The shy child who does not know how to enter in the game stands outside and blurts "I have new shoes." or maybe throws a tantrum for attention? It is completely inapropos of the game at hand and so theb group does not let the child in...How can the child know how to jump in without being given the tools? The article was suggesting that children be given guidance deliberately.

But REALLY, I am not so sure that the skill of blending in well at play is all there is to social communication. Maybe it is good to guide a person to avoid confrontation and go parrallel and create a game that others will then like to join?

I love the idea that a forum could lead the way to new ideas about being an ego in a mental based collective. I am not the only one who likes having an ego. We are all entitled to a well beloved ego self.

IMO strong egos have a POV and strong ego is not necessarily nice. But a REALLY strong ego knows how to play her own game and let others have theirs IMO> and MIGHT lead others to be so enthused by a different style that they join in a mutual game. The really cool asspect IMO of 3D gaming is that our game naturally attracts a mirroring from the "others". It is IMO my feedback and whenever I look at the source of all the ills I disfavor, the common element is that I saw it. That means seomething to me.

That lies at the idea of why Hooponopono is effective. We forgive and forget what we recall. IMO it is invoking divine assistance in the game of life
Divine in all I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. Then forgetta bout it.

One aspect of forums like these is that IMO some people feel offended for very personal reasons and then equate that offense with besmirched honor and bristle righteously. IMO offense is usually very inconsequential. It cannot be helped though that egos will feel "in and out" of attention. That is why we should bend over backwards to attend to ourselves... egos that love themselves are not so difficult IMO. I Appreciate me now and avoid the rush. Instead of a needy exchange, there arises an empowered expression of egos being themselves.

Therefore IMO, we may each foucus on what enthuses and impassions us and reveal that? I respect all impassioned POV and don't have to think alike. I don't want nice particularly but self acceptance that neutralizes any stings. I am not a child but I have a beloved child in my self to attend.

Thanks, Maggie, for bringing up Ho'oponopono, very appropriately placed. It is indeed the fulcrum that has moved me to where I am placed in my own personal path to what lies next. It is, for me at this time, an often used tool, as when the mind is made busy with said mantra, while some inner demon or external issue is making a mess in the experience, the mantra is an excellent way to allow in the awareness one loses when the attention is being infected with that which does not or will not serve ones best interests and intents.

Thank you for starting the conversation, Maggie.

‘look within’…’know thyself’. I have cluttered this thread in the past with these words, over and over again. It is prime. It is the beginning of a lifelong journey…sometimes painful, but always worthwhile. Only by seeing myself as I am, warts and all…and accepting myself as I am…can I possibly accept others as they may be, right where they are, right now in this moment. It helps to remember we are all ‘works in progress’. A little ‘inner housecleaning’ goes a long way to the next step in personal growth and wisdom.

What others may say or do does not diminish me. The ego may speak differently, but life is not a competition. Someone ‘other’ has given an opportunity to look at a subject from another perspective. Examine it…it’s okay. Does it hold true personally? Is it a valid avenue to pursue? Every person can only answer for himself/herself and act accordingly.

The above is my experience only…others’ mileage may vary.

It also works well for forgiving ones self.

I find it easy to forgive others, but am not as kind to myself.

Indeed, belle, as inner demon, as I have used the term, is referencing an internal issue in need of healing, and the healing of such almost always requires the forgiveness of self.

Occupying the mind with such a mantra allows the awareness of self as one is usually aware of the self of others, the detachment being very important in healing the greater portion of such issues.

This page links to a Google drive with lots of lectures from Manly P Hall. In the study of ancient philosophy, he is unsurpassed.

The first entry in the series is actually just a reading of the book of Enoch. It is not a lecture about it.
