Carol Kaye is a bass legend and was an inspiration for me before I even knew who she was. I heard her bass lines and knew that was an influence that needed to be in my bass playing. Here she is at a NAMM (music industry show) with two other bass players who were probably inspired by her too. Victor shows her respect and plays along with her in a tasteful way. The bass player in the middle with the most strings, 6, had the least to say playing-wise.

More on the War Pigs theme. 10 minutes of relative sanity from Jimmy Dore, an old school democrat.
One highlight is Senator Rand Paul speaking with Wolf Blitzer. Reminding Wolf that only Congress can declare war according to the U.S. Constitution. Wolf is more worried about defense contractor jobs. BTW, WWll was the last war declared by Congress.

I caught that one earlier in my daily perusing. Jimmy can certainly be rough around the edges, but that self proclaimed pot head doing a show out of his garage shows light years more capability of critical thinking than any mainstream "news" repeater out there.
Also. been thinking more and more about Noam Chomsky's "Manufactured Consent" lately, and just how vital the consenting are to the enablement of the war pigs.

Well, you do have to put that number into perspective. Every bot that looks at this thread — and there are many, trust me — counts as a view, every time they pull up a page, and if they pull up the next page, then that's yet another view. And any thread that regularly gets updated here will attract the bots.
Web crawlers, data-mining bots, and these days probably cryptocurrency miners too, scraping new and thus unique data off the web just like the former two kinds, but for a different purpose.
