After enjoying the "Listen To The Music" video, I saw another one of excellent music and celebration by the Doobie Brothers.

Put a big smile on my face. Something the internet rarely does for me these days.

Life is too sweet to report on because misery loves company.

    Sad but true.

For those who may genuinely care for someone they never met, all is very good.

I would wish the same for anyone.

Well, I have fed feral cats now for four years.

Abandoned by pet lovers whose love had run out. Or, they had moved out.

They are not my pets, they are my charge. All but one acts like they never met me. Until I come out with my food cup for them.

I have love from humans and do not need it from them.

    It all feels good.

It takes certain kind of people to abandon their pets, I doubt there was any love and surely it wouldn't run out for such a valued family member. I can't stand that kind of cruelty. Maybe because it's so easy to sense the peace and unconditional love from animals, which doesn't come easily from most humans.

It is nice of you to feed the cats.

Thank you. Fortunately, for me, humans offer me greater love and reciprocation than any pet I've ever had.

Pets are easy to love and receive love from. Humans are more challenging, thus more rewarding for me.

No dog or cat has ever given me a ride when I needed one.

Preference to receive love from pets over humans says a lot to me. And, I see a lot of it. Kinda like a drug to kill the pain over continual failed relationships.

I will not be unkind and speak my mind on that subject.

I love animals, but do not get confused with my priorities.

Had a lot of fun with two other forum members on a skype call tonight.

Lots of fun. Great conversations on the topics we all discuss and, some pleasant distractions playing with backgrounds that skype offers.

    It was a hoot.

My hair seems to be moussed.

I respect your difference. I don't claim to be anything special, probably just a little bit different from the norm so my experience varies. All of us humans have our preferences and I suppose that's what makes us unique. That's the beauty of this creation too.

All I will say that humans have a lot to learn from animals. Anyways, it's good to love and spread that love too.

As Vincent Van Gogh said; "It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done."

Perhaps not, but a horse might. No, seriously, it might. In times longer gone, many a drunk ─ or a wounded man ─ was safely carried homeward by his faithful horse. And in addition to that, dogs have already saved human lives, because they could sense danger before the humans could, or by getting help for a person in trouble.

That said, no dog or cat has ever insulted me, humiliated me, or even physically injured me ─ or at least, not voluntarily. Humans on the other hand...

I don't see how you could have any unkind thoughts over the matter. Animals have an innocence and genuineness about them that humans just don't. Not that I am one of those people who have a fetish for pets ─ I currently don't have any pets myself, although I have in the past had two cats (in separate times), and my brother has had several cats and a dog, all of which have passed away now. When it comes to people with pet fetishes, one could of course roll one's eyes, but that is still different from simply adopting a pet out of love, enjoying its friendship, and experiencing a mourning when the pet dies.

At the same time, comparing pets to humans is like comparing apples to oranges ─ they are beings with a very different level of consciousness, and with it, a very different level of responsibility. Therefore, I don't think that it would be appropriate to judge ─ and for that matter, unkindly ─ people who prefer the company of animals over that of humans.

I not only feed the feral cats, I water them too. I provide a dish with fresh water for them on my porch and they do drink from it. However, by observing them I see they actually prefer a rusty tin can in my backyard that fills with rainwater. It has an old leaf with sediment on the bottom as well as mosquito larvae. Although I fill it with fresh water, I never drain it because the feral cats seem to like it that way. I see them drink from puddles too.

I observed them and did not impose my human hygiene upon them. They have a choice of clean water and/or 'the can', they use both, but I see which one I have refill more often.

I know the love and care I give them and ask for nothing in return. My friends and the Goddess provide the love that nourishes me.

Is that how a simple disagreement of opinion is described these days ─ as a personal attack, dislike, discrimination or social injustice?

You'll have to forgive me for my ignorance; I don't follow these social fashion trends, you see.
