Today here in New Zealand, it is Mother's Day.

For something different I have written my mum a poem and sent it to her just now. I'll share it here too.

    What a beautiful day
the sun is back, it is warm.
    the birds are smiling,
there is wind, but a breeze.
One that softly strokes my shoulder.
Much like the eveloping care of a mother,
    teaching her precious lessons.
A face of serenity, of welcome.
    Mother.
Your love is felt like that constant wind.
It shapes and leads, yet fills our sails so we find our own steam.
You hold the baskets filled with treasures of tenderness and care.
    Handing them out freely.
That basket is magic for it never empties.
A beautiful gift we all share,
    Is you.

Nothing, I mean, enjoy being, that’s a beautiful poem. I would cry if my son wrote that. Almost did anyway...

The Tent will largely feature images from myself. Original content that can be assailed by vowel movements would be masochistic and that is not my kind of 'buzz'.

Robert McNair Price (born July 7, 1954) is an American theologian and writer,[6] known for arguing against the existence of a historical Jesus (the Christ myth theory). He taught philosophy and religion at the Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary.[7] He is a professor of biblical criticism at the Center for Inquiry Institute, and the author of a number of books on theology and the historicity of Jesus.
A former Baptist minister, he was the editor of the Journal of Higher Criticism from 1994 until it ceased publication in 2003.

Subversive is more like it, and The Queen would not be amused.
Currently rewatching Jackson’s 1st trilogy...I would reread LOTR, but I never finished it the first time, bailed in the wilderness of “The Two Towers”.

As editor of the journal Crypt of Cthulhu (published by Necronomicon Press) and of a series of Cthulhu Mythos anthologies, Price has been a major figure in H. P. Lovecraft scholarship and fandom for many years. In essays that introduce the anthologies and the individual stories, Price traces the origins of Lovecraft's entities, motifs, and literary style. The Cthulhu Cycle, for example, saw the origins of Cthulhu the octopoid entity in Alfred, Lord Tennyson's "The Kraken" (1830) and particular passages from Lord Dunsany, while The Dunwich Cycle points to the influence of Arthur Machen on Lovecraft's "The Dunwich Horror."

Price's religious background often informs his Mythos criticism, seeing gnostic themes in Lovecraft's fictional god Azathoth and interpreting "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" as a kind of initiation ritual.

Most of the early Cthulhu books by Chaosium were overseen by Price; his first book was The Hastur Cycle (1993), an anthology of short stories which traced the development of a single Lovecraftian element, and this was followed by Mysteries of the Worm (1993), a collection of Robert Bloch's Mythos fiction.
