Thatīs what I meant. The current meme surrounding money is that itīs energy in stasis. Most new money ideas use some kind of similar structure to do away with things like interest and such. Only a few do away with the bartering concept all together.

Yes, I'm afraid so. To get us off money completely, we probably need some kind of 'interim' money... at least interest free money 'owned' by the people. It's too bad... but people generally have difficulty with change even if it's for the better. You have to give it in small doses.

We (us here on the forum) could give it a go and make it work (though it wouldn't be easy I'm sure of it) but the collective "we" - as in the western world are a long way from such a system. I cannot see that we would (collectively) be in a position where it would work without a catastrophe of worldwide proportions and/or much discord, killing and bloodshed. That is not to say I cannot see it happening in the future.

There was a post on PA years ago about a forum member who had a lot of land which he offered up to other forum members at nil cost (some ex PA members might remember this). The upshot was that there was much back-biting about who was doing the most work/having the most input, there were arguments and the project became unworkable, with the host forum member bearing all the costs and everyone going their separate ways. IT DID NOT WORK OUT, even with the best intentions and the "more aware" members of our society.

This is not to say that we shouldn't be looking at better ways of living, working and sharing. We definitely should be. But imo it comes down to a question of HOW - how can it be done given the current state of affairs? Idealism -v- practicalities.

To be least disruptive, I do think we need an interim money system (that's interest free and 'owned' by the people) to 'wean' us off money. I just keep hoping the more we talk about a moneyless system, the more chance it has to take root. It's pretty drastic, I know. But, it's beautiful.

You are displaying a curious ignorance of the dynamics of the animal kingdom. Oh now, I can almost hear you rebuking me for suggesting that we're animals, but as above so below.
Am I really? And, then you go on to quote:

See, this is what makes us humans different. 'As above so below' with regard to the animal kingdom... You are not having this conversation with a lion, bear, wolf, or coyote (even though I may appear like one at times).

Well as usual a lot has been tried and thought out.
A lot of alternative economies are emerging as we speak, all be it mostly under enthousiasts..

Some of the examples that worked out i am thinking of the swiss WIR bank for example. some even so good they have been shut down.
A fee economist with some good ideas was silvio gessell. there's a few of his more famous books translated in english. for a fictional strory by him in duts.
searcg for het wondereiland barataria. In here he describes how 500 families colonize an idsland and thrive up to the point where someone suggest an easier way to barter. then the people go through a few economic systems.. All of which make the living standard worse.. I don't think its translated in english though.

I give away whatever I can whenever I can. Last year a computer that I had repaired, to someone who needed one. Currently on offer, two e-books of short stories (written with the intention of encouraging people to make their own music) and three "sleep" recordings. More "stuff" accumulating constantly.

Dave Schmidt with a thoughtful New Year's Eve message. This man is coming along well, IMO.

Same kind of format for a recording. Hit record and speak. Since my material will be linking into similar story lines at times, there is another likeness. About the same length too. Give or take a few minutes.

Nice job of tying together the various recent conversations on this thread through these last three videos you have brought to us, modwiz. Thank you. The We are Change.org video reinforced Ron's video with the Ambassador, and both were reinforced and expanded upon by Dave Schmidt.

    Looking forward to your videos.

I am smiling. I was curious whether others would see how they have linkage. This has been the highlight of my day.
