You just can't help yourself, can you, Vern? First you're singing the praises of Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani and Qanon for well over four years, and now that the Orange Jesus has been replaced by Joe Biden as the goon who gets to live at the White House, you're desperately trying to post anything negative about either him or Kamala Harris that you can find. It's not that Biden and Harris don't deserve it, because everybody knows the US American political system is corrupt to the bone. No, it's because you're obsessed with it, and because you're making this obsession into a daily agenda point for everyone else here on the forum.

You are not a US American, and it is extremely unhealthy how preoccupied you are with US American politics, and how one-sided too. Yes, Sleepy Joe is just another puppet, and he's probably bordering on dementia, but I've never seen you write anything negative about Donald Trump and Melania, about whom an all-telling book has now just been published by one of their former closest White House staff members.

Now, I am sure that there are far more interesting things to talk about here on the forum than US-internal politics, and we've let you have your wank for the last four years ─ going on five now. But as I told you before, it ends here and now. This thread is now closed, because it was only intended as a way to sidestep our earlier resolve on the matter anyway.

If you can't stop yourself from indulging in libel and misinformation, Vern, then we will do it for you. I am now explicitly forbidding you to talk (or post any videos) about US politics or about the Covid-19 pandemic any longer. I hope I've made myself clear.

Is it censorship? Yes, it is, but it's justified, given that you only post misinformation and libel. If the children misbehave, then the parents have to step in.

This forum may be dying, but I for one am going to uphold its integrity as a non-American and a(nti)-political forum until Malc decides to turn off the lights.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

    Why ?

Well so many lies and concerning perception, see The One liked Aragorns reply so imo that be the end of it But lets be honest instead A.

I hardly post due to censorboat and hurting fellow members feelings, one does not need to seek the F up of biden and kam kam as tisa very obvious, my life revolves around my family and my full time work and shamanic studies so this may be a projection , as i know you put a huge effort into TOT Aragorn, the truth does not need to be protected, ANY Truth. Perceptions and beliefs need protection.

I will continue to keep my posts to Tartar and similar vids, even though even they are in the Hoax section, because for me this is family here, in the past i have been helped to see my flaws, incorrect thinking and vulnerfullness and this continues, Q is Massive world wide but i can talk eleswhere on this, Trump is still massive and those around him and again can talk eleswhere as to not offend, all the political putridness and election goodies, again somewhere else.

Just one Question, why is Brand thread of Wind's not in hoax section or dissmantled ?, imo he meditates and when many meditate for an answer and all get the same answer ( whether bhudist-christian-Judaic or blue skyer ) this be a true narrative and yes will constanly change.

Blessings to all and sorry for again offending some.

Fair enough. So here's the answer: I don't monitor that thread, because I consider Russell Brand to be just another self-important talking head ─ and for that matter, he's a self-confessed former drug and porn addict with ADHD, so why would his opinion matter more than anyone else's? ─ and I really, really couldn't care less about anything he says. But my colleagues do seem to follow him, and I trust in their judgment as to whether Brand is making sense or whether he's full of shit. And if the latter, then I also trust my colleagues to make the right decision and move his thread into the misinformation category.

But like I said, I don't monitor that thread, and I find it very sad that people can only communicate their thoughts anymore by way of videos from opinionated talking heads. It's as if people don't even have any opinions of themselves anymore and need a talking head to make up their opinion for them, or that they're feeling so insecure in their own convictions ─ and perhaps rightfully so ─ that they think they need to emphasize them by way of a video that confirms their preconceived notions. You know, as in "Such and such said so, and they are a YouTube celebrity with many followers/subscribers, so it must be true."

    So there you have it.

Mmmm confirmation on judgement , bless you.

Brand has died and been reborn a couple of times, imo this is important or one believes they are what they were told by their gods when growing up, once you know your own mind, one does not believe their teachers anymore but themselves, so governments and schools and parents and religeons etc very less important and trusted. He like many is aware there is no left or rite etc , only their masters.

    Thankyou for reply.

Oh yes, so who forms your opinions if not talking heads as such ?.

I do. I have my education ─ which does not mean "rote learning" but instead means "understanding, analysis and critical thinking" ─ and I have my own experiences regarding the world around me, the media, politics (and the politicians themselves), sociology, mass psychology, parenting, et al.

If I am uncertain about a decision I have to make, then I will consult people of whom I believe that they may have more experience than I do in the given field, or people whom I believe would be wiser than I am. I will then hear them out and listen to what they have to say, testing my own ideas against theirs. And then I will let it sink in, and I'll make my decision when I'm ready to do so.

It's no guarantee that I'll never make any mistakes, though, because I am a fallible human being, and even the people I will consult are only human too, or maybe I'll somehow be too impatient and act rashly. That has happened. I am not so arrogant as to think myself above making any mistakes. But I'm still conscientiously trying to avoid that. And if and when I do make a mistake, then I will own up to it, plus that I'll then also do my best at making things right again. It's called "assuming one's responsibility", and "being true to oneself".

So true, so sad ... I think we are conditioned in the human family to part ways with our nuclear clan, it is probably genetically driven what with a need for an infusion of 'new' blood, a.k.a. genes. I resolved those issues while my father was still alive and made a clean break, for the most part, perhaps one can never split completely. I was motivated to make this post because last night I had a dream that I was speaking with my dad telling him that he had made a mistake convincing me at a very young age that there was no future in psychology. He was one of those 'old school' folk that believed that psychology was a scam and not worth pursuing. Not coincidentally in the same time frame my older, perhaps psychopathic brother was going through counseling, I believe he was about 13 years of age, due to serious brushes with the law. Psychopathic level brushes by way of burglary, armed confrontation with law enforcement, etc. My brother maintained that it was 'his' friends that were violent not he and, of course, just the opposite was true, he was the ringleader. His end treatment was to be sent to a 'controlled school environment' for jacked up chillins'. He broke the law while there and as further punishment he was sent to a 'military school' for disciplinary purposes. Sound psychological practice there, send a budding psychopath for military training. He went into business after being ejected from the military school and was very successful until he was nailed by the IRS for dodging taxes. He fooled around for a few years in different business disciplines, made a good share of money and then gave it up to pursue his true love, wearing a badge and a gun and harassing the human population.

I never should have been a software engineer as I've never had any passion for it, I always wanted to be an academic specializing in psychology and sociology.

Russell has seemed to me to be ramping up the fear and anxiety in his videos. I'm not sure why beyond more clicks and more subscribers. But I worry he's going too far down rabbit holes. In any case, he's a former comedian gone spiritual and now talking head. It's another form of entertainment where there may be some wisdom or knowledge gleaned.

I personally enjoy his videos less now due to his seeming fear orientation.

Many folks try to project out their emotions. I'm not saying that Russell is doing this. What I am saying is that way too many folks are claiming to know that others are 'afraid' or 'jealous' or some other emotion that they don't know at all because they are not inside other peoples' heads.

It's arrogant hubris, telling others that they're just victims of fear or some other emotion. And that hubris is running rampant here in the States.

I would agree with you Dreamtimer and I'll copy here what I posted to that other thread.

I like Russell and I think he is correct about many of the things he talks about and is trying to expose all that crap, however...

Lately I have not bothered to watch his videos anymore on his main channel, I kinda got worn out by the issues, not by him. I think he is getting more sensationalist and also is aiming for the clicks with the titles, juicy headlines get more views. He should stick to spirituality. Thankfully he has that other channel. I remember same thing happened to that JP Sears guy, he used to be a real funny comedian, but then I think he turned into some kind of real conspiracy, alt righter guy and then he became more biased.

Personally I am not in the state of fear or anxiety, but I know far too well how those states of mind can be. I've had more than enough of stress in my life, I'm well aware how things are in the world and my eyes are wide open, but it does not benefit me to worry about things that I can't change. There is so much injustice, deceit and cruelty in this world, but that's still just one aspect of the whole. If we succumb to apathy then we just might aswell already give up and I don't think that's the way to go. Those who give up hope are already just the walking dead. We have the power to change the world by changing ourselves and that can be the hardest thing in the world, but it's possible. Life isn't only just a tragedy or drama, it can be more like a comedy. However in the end it's really up to you how you see it.

Imo DT is a wee bit disslusional, Russell is not concerned about his clicks and no way into spreading fear ( DT accuses me of this also ) because he knows how the fear system works.

I never said Russell was ramping up my fears. (I'd have to have been watching for that to even be possible)

But thanks for affirming my statement about people pretending they know the feelings and emotions of others when they don't.

My concern is that Russell is playing games with fears to get more clicks.

Thank you Wind for sharing again about his other channel. I'd probably like that one much better.

JP was funny. But he crossed over to sardonic comments and way too much name calling/mocking for my tastes. But I guess that gets the likes and subscribes that he wants.

Beau of the fifth column once showed how he examines the listener metrics to determine what turns people away or brings them in and which kinds of audience.

JP must like his new, hardcore audience.

According to Beau's analysis, the hard language brings subscribers who already agree with you. The softer language brings in folks who maybe don't agree but are interested without feeling alienated.

You know how echo chambers are created? By having people around you who all the time agree with you and it will only reinforce confirmation bias. That way you never learn anything new. The academic nor scientific world aren't immune to that either, dogmas are dogmas. I think it's even healthy to have a certain amount of disagreement so that there will be room for some open debates and fresh new ideas. If you never question the status quo then you are by default stuck in a system which is conservative and outdated. I don't think there is anything wrong with doing things the old fashioned way, because sometimes that is actually the better way for a good reason.

Yet one should also remember what Einstein said; "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." That is also the current problem of humanity, it's too stuck with the old way of doing things and that way is destructive and self-centered. We are a species gifted with complex problem-solving abilities thanks to our frontal lobes, but even then it seems that this species with thumbs is only interested in creating more weapons and problems. If a new way is not adopted and relatively soon too then this species has no hope. Thankfully the universe has arranged it so that there's always the new generation of people to change the old way of things even if that doesn't always lead to better outcomes, but it does lead to different results for sure. Time is running short now though.
