In East Texas, cases of measles are becoming more common. (Texas, where else? Many mentally unhealthy Southerners, yup). I could give you a true horror story about my-ex wife and a preschool that my daughter was attending, I never told my daughter's mother the results of her inconsiderate, irresponsible and just straight demented actions that she caused the death of a child, a pregnant lady lost her baby (what MAGA terms killed the baby). As mentally unhealthy as she was and I might add oblivious to empathy I was afraid that even she could not endure that truth). She is a native-born Texan, of course.
And yes, it was a direct result of an unlikely case of measles. I still feel the horror of that day when I was informed.
