It is full of complicated medical terminolgy and absolutely horrifying details about what this mother and child went through.

I'm trying to find a positive way to look at things like this: Even the most minuscule 'worries' prompted by neurosis/psychosis should be attended to. No human being wants to feel isolated and unwanted and thus deserves a thoughtful hearing. It is unfortunate that the people who try to fill that slot are terribly flawed individuals. In a sense, they are hurting the cause of the people they want to support. While looking through the obfuscation of character defects, one has to wonder what the true motivation is. It is an impactful societal dilemma.
I couldn't find any information directly suggesting she has a motivation for trying to discredit standard medical practices BUT,

This is sensitivity to man-made frequencies.
Common EMS symptoms:

- heart palpitations
- muscle & joint pain
- headaches
- difficulty concentrating
- anxiety
- dizziness
- tinnitus
- sensation of pressure in the head
(Wikipedia blames the person who has the symptoms—as in it's psychosomatic.)
