    I'm seeing this more and more often these days from other Christian right wing hosts like Glenn Beck. We're in the end days, angry Jesus is coming soon, and our problems will be solved through fear of the Lord.

    Like when Newman here jumps from the end days of the Book of Revelations at 35 minutes into the posted video, to a different version of fear porn written by King David in Psalms. Really, really good stuff, kind of reminds me of when his heroes the Zionists of Israel speak of the Amelek. You know, these lesser people, these evil doers that God hates and is coming for?

    Psalm 2
    1 Why do the nations conspire[a]
    and the peoples plot in vain?
    2 The kings of the earth rise up
    and the rulers band together
    against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
    3 “Let us break their chains
    and throw off their shackles.”

    4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
    the Lord scoffs at them.
    5 He rebukes them in his anger
    and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
    6 “I have installed my king
    on Zion, my holy mountain.”

    7 I will proclaim the Lord’s decree:

    He said to me, “You are my son;
    today I have become your father.
    8 Ask me,
    and I will make the nations your inheritance,
    the ends of the earth your possession.
    9 You will break them with a rod of iron[b];
    you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”

    10 Therefore, you kings, be wise;
    be warned, you rulers of the earth.
    11 Serve the Lord with fear
    and celebrate his rule with trembling.
    12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry
    and your way will lead to your destruction,
    for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
    Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

    If I'm understanding you correctly, I have the same concern.

    I worry a lot about religion in politics.

    I like it when people talk about "Christ consiousness," because that brings up thoughts of love your enemies and do unto others. Anything to promote peace on Earth is helpful. But other than that, I cringe, because I think it is divisive.

    Well then if that be the case, you may want to ask yourself why you're presenting someone you have concern over. Or maybe you're not looking into these matters all that deeply, just putting stuff out there that seems to agree with your world view?

    - Bush Jr. said "if you're not with us, you're with the terrorists".

    - Right now if you're not with Israel, you're an anti Semite.

    - Newman talks about Jesus saying "if you're not for me, you're against me.

    What do all these statements have in common? If you're not with the good guys, you're with the bad guys and in the end, anything can be done to the bad guys to set things straight.

    These people are convinced we're in the long awaited "End Times", and when push comes to shove, those who are "against Christ" are the enemy. That might just include you I don't know.

    Because he's an expert on issues, and because many patriots out there fighting the good fight are Christians and talk about their religion because that's why they're doing what they're doing.

    Katherine Watt is a good example of that. She is the most informed truther I know about how the Federal government has laid the groundwork over decades to make medical tyranny possible, and she says point blank that she would not be doing what she's doing if it were not for her Catholic faith—instilled in her by her father.

    You're not thinking this through. For evangelical Christians, it's the word of god first, everything else a distant second.

    Don't like public schools? Turn them into a proper Christian education.

    What's a given senator's opinion of Israel's actions in Gaza? The Bible instructs me to support and defend Israel, no matter what.

    How should I think about gay people? Well Romans 1 tells me that they're reprobates.

    Get the picture? Many think people like this should save us from tyranny by taking over the reigns of government for themselves, without thinking it through that what they'll wind up doing, is creating a theocracy.

    You want to live under the laws of Yaweh?

    I don't think in the United States that we have any danger of becoming a theocracy.

    Americans have freedom of religion and the rest of the Bill of Rights in our DNA, at least in spirit.

    What the culmination of this little thought experiment suggests, unsurprisingly, is that you’re incapable of seeing beyond the right wing echo bubble you’ve made your home in, and also spamming this forum with.

    Not that they don’t have some things right because they do, but when you buy in to a group think unquestioningly and uncritically, you’re doing nothing but buying into a cult narrative no different than the shit lib democrats that they so despise.

    So apparently the Bill of Rights is still sufficient to protect against theocracy setting were these right wing Christian Fundamentalists to seize power in a perceived crisis, but not against the World Economic Forum taking over and making us eat bugs.

    That’s the group think doing the talking.

    Fever dreams of Christian goofballs pop up like mushrooms at the slightest provocation now. Fake conspiracies distract from real conspiracies.

    You would think the facts would somehow triumph over this bullshit but, noooo.......The UN is the most toothless international org on the planet, with the exception of 'Girl Scouts International'! If anything it is far too weak and dominant NATO nations ride rough shod over it while Israel spits in its eye.

    You're millimeters away from being a theocracy right now!

    "Fever" IMO, is the key word there. There's a fever in the air, fortunately contained to the West.

    Like any "disease" even good people get it same as it rains on the good and evil alike; but this fever is special... This fever, has good people thinking in true Orwellian terms along the lines of "war=peace".

    Let's see if we can just, yet again, kill our way out of this problem. That plan used to work, it was a proven method, what happened?

    It's not working any more...

    Witnessing what the Zionists are doing and American govt is funding is soul scarring. I imagine this is how people in Europe felt in the lead up to WW2. It seems that this latest bit of demonism in the Middle East will reach out and touch us all.

    The Zionists seem to be exercising almost total control and they're using Christian fundamentalism's twisted interpretation of the bible to work their will in the most perverse ways imaginable!

    You know, that's a good way of putting it. It's all coming home now (and it's been a process) that the ruling Western elite, haven't really changed all that much since the "glorious" days of Columbus. And on up to the merciless genocide of our own native people from sea to shining sea.

    And just to stay on topic IMO there's a long history of the West being one in the same, as the Zionist mindset.

    How far off is the Zionist settler mindset, from that of "Manifest Destiny"?

    I think the basic premise of Manifest Destiny has weaseled its way right into our DNA. There IS such a thing as white privilege. I have it to some degree and don't feel guilty, but do feel a responsibility to be aware of it.
