    Seven'Arts Adventures

    Karnak, Luxor, March 2023.
Mahmoud led me to a tiny temple at the back of the Karnak temple complex. This is an extraordinary place where the number "7" acquires its mystical meaning. This temple consists of two small rooms. In one of them (video) you can see seven doors, in the other there are seven Ankhs on the wall.
For me this place has special meaning. I spent about an hour there.

Mahmoud left me alone inside the rooms so I could get a better feel for the place. He knew and saw what it meant to me.
You probably know the meaning of the Ankh Cross, if you also know the meaning of the number "7", you can imagine what power was hidden behind these symbols together.

    Goddess Sekhmet in her temple

    Karnak, Egypt, March 2023.
I had a huge privilege, I was given the keys and I could open the padlock. When I opened the door, I saw the goddess Sekhmet bathed in a shaft of light.
This tiny temple, part of the Karnak complex, arouses great interest, and some people experience inexplicable sensations there.
This was my third encounter with the goddess Sekhmet in her temple.

If I remember correctly, this statue has been standing in this place since it was placed there. If this is true, this place becomes even more valuable.
Sekhmet whose name means: “She who is powerful” or “the One who loves Ma'at” was the goddess of the hot desert sun, plague, chaos, war, and healing. She was created from the fire of the sun god Ra's eye when he looked upon Earth.

    Fountainebleu forest

    Good evening!

One of the reasons why I wanted to visit the Fountainebleu forest were the rocks there. Their unusual structure and form, which I saw in the photos, aroused my interest. I also read that some of the rocks have the shape of various animals, and that perhaps they are the remains of ancient people who once lived in this area. I was a bit skeptical about these rock animals, so I decided to see it with my own eyes. Archaeological sites in the forest indicate that the presence of people in this area dates back to 40,000 years ago. With even more curiosity, I decided to go there. Today you will see one of the "rock animals". You probably won't have a hard time guessing what animal this is. Pay attention to the original structure located on the rocks. These polygons resemble reptile skin. Most of the rocks in the Fountainebleu Forest look like this.

My predictions came true and it turned out that animal shapes appear only when we look at the rock from the right angle and only from one side of the stone. I am convinced that these are natural rocks, untouched by human hands to give them shape. It was nature itself, over time, weathering the rock and washing out the softer elements, that gave shapes resembling animals.

However, don't let this discourage you from visiting this extraordinary forest, because when you immerse yourself in it, you have the impression that you have entered an enchanted land. The rock formations and flora are breathtaking.

Can you guess what this animal is?

Seefin Passage Tomb, Ireland, June 2024.

    Good afternoon!

Seefin Passage Tomb, Ireland, June 2024.

This was the second place I wanted to visit before the concert. Last time I was in Ireland, unfortunately I ran out of time, my schedule was tight - I visited dozens of other places.

It took me two hours to go up the mountain.
It was quite a challenge for me - for various reasons.
Because I don't like to give up, I had to do what I planned.
On the way to the top, I made several stops to shoot videos and take photos. I also sat on a rock for a while and admired the views. There were no other sounds apart from the wind and the birds. This melody is really soothing. At the same time, you can organize your thoughts.

When I reached the top, I saw a panoramic view and quite a large number of stones forming a tomb. It was Seefin Passage Tomb.
In the video you will see a shady hill where I stopped the camera a little longer, that is where Fionn Mac Cumhail's Seat is located but due to lack of time I couldn't go there.I will do this next time I visit Ireland.

At the top I spent about 2.5 hours viewing the tomb and taking a nice break for lunch.
The descent took me about 1 hour. In total, the entire trip to the tomb took me almost 6 hours.
"Seefin Passage Tomb (Irish:Tuama Pasáiste Shuí Finn) is an empty passage grave and National Monument located atop Seefin Hill, County Wicklow, Ireland.
Seefin Passage Tomb is located atop Seefin in the Wicklow Mountains, just south of Kilbride Army Camp. Nearby Seefingan and Seahan mountains also have cairns atop them.

The tomb was built circa 3300 BC, during Ireland's Neolithic. It was excavated by R. A. Stewart Macalister in 1931, but no artefacts or human remains were found, suggesting that no-one was ever buried there, or that the remains were later removed.

The tomb is a stone cairn, 24 m (79 ft) in diameter and 3 m (9.8 ft) high. There are large kerb stones around the base of the tomb and the tomb has a passageway 7 m (23 ft) long, which opens into a chamber with five compartments. There are some carved decorations in lozenge shape, carved lines and quartz." - Wikipedia

Howth Portal Tomb / Aideen's Grave. June 2024. Ireland.

    Good afternoon!

Almost 7 hours by car to get to Holyhead in north-west Wales, then about 4 hours by ferry to Dublin. I left for land after 6 a.m. Around 7 a.m. I was already at the dolmen. This is one of the few interesting places that I haven't visited before when I was in Ireland. This time the reason for my visit was the concert, but because I don't like wasting time, I planned to see two places before the concert. This is the first one. Getting to this dolmen was very easy and it took me maybe 6-7 minutes from the parking lot. However, the next place was a challenge for me. But I'll tell you about that tomorrow.
Howth Portal Tomb / Aideen's Grave. June 2024. Ireland.

"Located on the grounds of Howth Castle are the remains a huge megalithic monument. The quartzite capstone, which has slipped, weights an estimated 75 tons. Only Brownes Hill dolmen in County Carlow is larger. The portal tomb is aligned South East and the two portal stones, each one an estimated 2 1/2 metres high, and door stone still remain.

Folklore: Known locally as Aideen's grave this tomb is said to be the burial place of Aideen the wife of Oscar the son of Oisin. Oscar the bravest of all the Fianna slew three kings in his first battle, he died at the battle of Gabhra. It is said that Aideen died in grief at her loss, so Oisin buried her at Howth and set a cairn over her, a burial usually reserved for great warriors or kings." - megalithicirelan

"Bryn Celli Ddu Burial Chamber. Wales.

"Bryn Celli Ddu Burial Chamber. Wales. (part 1)

It is a large mound containing a passage grave, but it is two monuments, one built upon the other, suggesting a change of beliefs during the Neolithic period. The first monument was a henge, a central stone circle, rarely found in Wales. The second monument, a chamber, cairn, a passage grave, completely covering the first, and was probably one of the last megalithic tombs to be built on Anglesey."

    Stonehenge 04.07.2024.

    Stonehenge 04.07.2024.

The reason for the creation of Stonehenge is still shrouded in mystery, and although there are many theories about it, its role in the lives of people of that time cannot be clearly determined.

One of the mysteries is the origin of the blue stones that make up the internal structure of Stonehenge, because this type of stone does not exist in the area.
There are two types of stone at Stonehenge – the larger sarsen stones and the smaller 'bluestones'. The sarsen stones are a type of silcrete rock, which is found scattered naturally across southern England.

To learn more about bluestones, two years ago I went to two Welsh quarries, which are indicated as the place where these stones are extracted, specifically in Pembrokeshire, west Wales.

First, I went to Carn Goedog, on the north slope of the Preseli hills. The next place was Craig Rhos-y-felin. I also visited a museum of blue stones in a small village, which was created by the English geologist Brian John.

Brian showed me around the small museum, told me about geological works and the history of bluestones. After the conversation, Brian and I took a photo together with his book - "The Stonehenge bluestones", which I then bought and Brian wrote a dedication for me.

Unfortunately, the monumental Stonehenge has not been preserved in its entirety, currently its structure consists of 83 stones - 40 sarsens and 43 bluestones.

Tomb of Ramses III (KV 11)

Tomb of Ramses III (KV 11)
Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Egypt. March 2023.

"One of the most popular tombs in the valley, KV 11 is also one of the most interesting and best preserved. Originally started by Sethnakht (1186–1184 BC), the project was abandoned when workers hit the shaft of another tomb (KV10). Work resumed under Ramses III (1184–1153 BC), the last of Egypt’s warrior pharaohs, with the corridor turning to the right, then left. It continues deep (125m overall) into the mountain and opens into a magnificent eight-pillared burial chamber.

The wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’.

In the chamber beyond is an aborted tunnel where ancient builders ran into the neighbouring tomb. They shifted the axis of the tomb to the west and built a corridor leading to a pillared hall, with walls decorated with scenes from the Book of Gates. There is also ancient graffiti on the rear right pillar describing the reburial of the pharaoh during the 21st dynasty (1069–945 BC). The remainder of the tomb is only partially excavated and structurally weak.
Ramses III’s sarcophagus is in the Louvre in Paris, its detailed lid is in the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge and his mummy – found in the Deir Al Bahri cache – is now in Cairo’s Egyptian Museum. It was the model for Boris Karloff’s character in the 1930s film The Mummy." - lonelyplanet

    Ħaġar Qim, Malta, March 2024.

I fell in love with this place at first sight and that's why I visited this megalithic temple 4 times."Ħaġar Qim, over 5000 years old, is found at the top of a promontory with a fertile plain to its east and garrigue sloping down to the sea to the west. 500m downhill from Ħaġar Qim one finds Mnajdra, a contemporary building, probably used by the same community given its proximity.

The late-Neolithic site of Ħaġar Qim consists of a group of monumental megalithic buildings, located on the crest of a ridge. To the west, the site commands views over the open sea, while to the east, it overlooks the edge of a large plain. The main building of Ħaġar Qim is unusual with features and doorways along its external wall. The floor of the central passage inside the building is paved in stone slabs while the floors in the chambers branching off this passage are made from beaten earth. The original low-relief carvings, copies of which are nowadays in this building, are displayed at the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta. Doorways inside the buildings are either trilithon, built of two upright stone blocks with a lintel and threshold, or an opening cut into a single megalith, known as a ‘porthole’ doorway. Parts of these buildings were originally covered by a corbelled roof, made of successive courses of megaliths, each one smaller than the one below." - Heritage Malta.

The Khemit School of Ancient Mysticism

    Good Afternoon!
I read in the comments that some of you would like to learn how to read ancient Egyptian writing.
Today I have a short lesson for you 😉
Lovely Yousef Awyan - Co-director The Khemit School of Ancient Mysticism, will introduce you to fragments of the inscriptions on the wall in the Temple of Seti I at Abydos.
In the video, on the right you will see an elegant gentleman wearing a hat. 🙂
This is Ralph Ellis, author of several books on the connections between the Bible and Ancient Egypt. "Ralph Ellis has been researching biblical and Egyptian history for more than 30 years. Being independent from theological and educational establishments allows Ralph to tread where others do not dare, and it is through this independence that Ralph has discovered so many new biblical and historical truths."
    Enjoy!
