I don't believe in global warming but it's really warm here in the north of Italy - much too warm for November. I'm up near the Alps and we've had snow up on the mountains some days when it's rained down here but we're getting weather from 9 to 17 degrees centigrade (62.6 degrees fahrenheit) at the moment! It's usually similar to the south of England here during the winter.

Really looking Apocalyptic! No Armageddon, but the ending of the old world
and the beginning of a new one.

Maybe this will help all the sheeple to stop
watching at the TV, iPad, iPod, iPhone screens.

You're right of course, but I keep asking myself: Why do we continue to learn the hard way?

Worst winter in sixty years -> weather & disasters. As Leonardo said : “Realize that everything connects to everything else.”

    Only link to picture.
    Link to article: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/52...a-ice-melt.htm

"The scientists said that to break through a kilometre of ice,
there would have to be an enormous eruption,
releasing 1,000 times more energy than a normal volcanic eruption."

... and of course, church-goers will be convinced that the prophecies in the Bible are coming true and that it is all the result of the anger of 'God'.

As usual the "scientists" are failing to take the obvious into account, magma being released under ice will create huge volumes of steam, which occupies about 16 times the volume of water (if my memory serves me correctly).

So the heat could be the driver of a massive explosion, the force of the eruption is neither here or there, and explosions all require a form of containment....

Good to see this thread again it's nearly the end of December and none of this has come true, well as far as the uk having the worst winter ever for THREE MONTHS goes anyway...Lol...it's like the news just tries to keep you in fear or something! All those panic bought survival supplies will come in handy at some point though I'm sure....

Indonesia’s Sinabung volcano erupts again, displacing 19,000

January 1, 2014 – INDONESIA – More than 19,000 people have been displaced by a volcano in Indonesia that has been erupting for months and shot lava into the air nine times overnight. Mount Sinabung on Sumatra sent hot rocks and ash 7,000 meters in the air last night and this morning, National Disaster Mitigation Agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said. “Mount Sinabung remains on the highest alert level and we have warned there should be no human activity within a five-kilometer radius of the crater,” Mr Nugroho said. “On Monday night, 19,126 people had fled their homes, and we expect that number to rise.” Police and soldiers were patrolling the danger zone to evacuate people who have chosen to stay in their homes, Mr. Nugroho added. Mount Sinabung – one of dozens of active volcanoes in Indonesia which straddles major tectonic fault lines – erupted in September for the first time since 2010 and has been rumbling ever since. In August, five people were killed and hundreds evacuated when a volcano on a tiny island in East Nusa Tenggara province erupted. The country’s most active volcano, Mount Merapi in central Java, killed more than 350 people in a series of violent eruptions in 2010. –

The weird weather is really concerning, here is what we are seeing of the northern hemisphere here in Oz:

    http://www.smh.com.au/world/united-s...107-hv7o6.html

Stinkin' hot here of course, but has cooled down here the last few days. My friend in Brisbane had 45 degrees Celsius the other day. 40 degrees here my end. Fans are in overdrive at night to sleep. I have no air-con.

I think I'd prefer the heat to the cold.

Thinking of you all up there. Chuck another doggy onto the bed for warmth.

Well, heres some extreme weather stuff !

Fierce storms tore through flood defences and ripped apart age-old cliffs as Britain endured another day of dramatic weather.

Hundreds of homes were flooded as the worst storms in 20 years continued to cause misery across the country, and a flood siren warning of extreme danger to people was sounded in Dorset as tidal surges and storms batter the coast.

A landmark rock arch that has stood for centuries above Porthcothan Bay in Cornwall was reduced to rubble by towering waves and 70mph winds.

Porthcothan Bay is famed for its picture-postcard beach and caves - but its massive stone archway has now collapsed into the sea.

The towering outcrop once resembled a giant rocky doughnut. Now, though, it looks like someone has taken a huge bite out of it.

    Before

    And after

People all around Britain are taking stupid risks for fun & photographs
