Hard for me to see how Israel as a nation continues to function as a result of all of this. At least in its present form.

Maybe I'm being both blind and naive about this one, but I suspect that only a small portion of any purported shipments of U.S. arms to Israel are currently in use...I'm more inclined to believe that they are being stockpiled against the risk of a joint attack against Israel. I'm suffering from bothism today, I trust Biden's humanity and practicality.

Sad, every day is another day and lives lost. Israel's leadership has gone psychotic, essentially being taken over by the 'bad gene'.

Biden says US will establish Gaza aid port

Biden tells Congress the initiative will not involve US troops on the ground.
He said he directed the military to establish a “temporary pier” that would be able to “receive large shipments carrying food, water, medicine and temporary shelter”.
Biden did not say how long it would take to set up the pier.

The Nazis genocided the Jews, and now the Jews have become the Nazis. Well, not all Jews, of course — let's not paint with too broad a brush. Not all Jews are Zionists, and not all Zionists are Jews. But the cynical irony is striking. And the Empire is just as guilty — it won't matter one iota whether Senile Joe wins or whether Benito Trumpolini wins, because they're both Zionists and they both condone genocide.

May all the piss in the world descend upon their ugly heads.

Zionism (/ˈzaɪəˌnɪzəm/; Hebrew: צִיּוֹנוּת Tsīyyonūt, [tsijoˈnut]; derived from Zion) is a nationalist movement that emerged in the 19th century to enable the establishment of a homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine, a region roughly corresponding to the Land of Israel in Jewish tradition.

Biden may be a zionist but he is not a proponent of hate, racism, or especially genocide. It is possible to be both. But to state any affinity with 'current' Zionism is not a 'smart' move...Biden's 'sense of right and wrong' was formed many years before Palestinian genocide became a reality. He is a victim of his age, in this case, he is slowly realizing that perhaps his benevolent view toward Netanyahu Israel is not well-placed

It's Biden's administration that keeps on vetoing the UN resolutions toward the stopping of the genocide. Therefore, the Biden administration is directly complicit in the genocide, and Joe Biden, as the chief executive officer of his administration, is directly responsible.

If Joe Biden, as the Emperor of the United States of America, were to put down his fist and call off the Empire's unconditional support for Israel, then the genocide would be over in just a couple of days, when the IDF's ammunition and jet fuel runs out. But we all know that's never going to happen, because the Empire's world domination comes first, and Israel is an important asset to said strategy. It's that simple.

I've said it before and I'll say it once again: one does not become Emperor of the USA unless one is willing to have blood on one's hands. The Empire kills and also has others kill for it. It has always been that way, and will always be that way.

The problem is ... the hostages. It does make sense that a temporary cease-fire would be great for the Palestinians but not so much for Israel. It isn't a one-side that can solve the problem situation.

Israel is plain wrong but a blanket approach by the "United States" could potentially make it worse. When was the last time a polite request to just stop killing each other work? One could argue that Israel no longer deserves the respect or support from a polite globe...but it is the globe and no "Nation" really gives a f*ck about killing others unless it directly threatens them. It hasn't changed, humans have not changed

But, I believe that Israel has stepped on it this time. Like all other things, Biden will pass away to the dustbin of history and those that follow will have a snarl on their face when overlooking Israel...Provided they aren't rightists. Rightists do not care, for them, it is always kill first before thouest is killed.

No, it's not. The Israeli government doesn't give a flying fuck about those hostages. Hell, they even shot three of them on sight, remember? They're only using the fact that hostages have been taken as an excuse for carrying on with the genocide.

I s'pose... If you take away that contingency then Biden is personally responsible for the genocide. The U.S. is the manipulative leader and as such 'everyone' on the U.N. council should veto the ceasefire effort. But they don't, they let Big Brother take the heat for it. The cause/excuse is the same, of course...the hostages and the rights of Israel, but at this point Israel should have only the rights afforded rogue states. Fight or Die!

Huh? Everyone on the UN council except for the USA and Israel voted in favor of a ceasefire, but the USA has veto rights — which only a few nations have — so they can effectively block any and all UN interventions. And they are doing exactly that.

They did the same thing within NATO when it was discovered that the USA and the UK were systematically torturing prisoners of war at Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib — as per direct order from Donald Rumsfeld — and they kept it up until NATO organizationally had no other choice but to consent to a new rule that prevents NATO from prosecuting an allied nation over war crimes.

The only solution in this case would be to revoke the USA's veto rights, but I don't know whether it would be legal within the context of the UN statutes to do so. And if the statutes do not allow for that, then the only other solution would be to immediately dissolve the UN as it currently exists and just as immediately replace it by a new international organization that cannot be held hostage by a single nation because of said nation's geopolitical and strategic interests. In practice, this could be as simple as rewriting the statutes in all secrecy, having a majority of the current council's members sign off on the new statutes, and then present them to the whole council.

What is currently taking place in Gaza is inexcusable and inadmissible, and if bureaucracy prevents the United Nations from putting a stop to this massacre, then that bureaucracy has exceeded its shelf life. And the USA should be prosecuted for crimes of war — past and present — as well as for actively aiding and participating in a genocide and other violations of basic human rights. Maybe Biden can share his prison cell with Donald Trump.

Of course, that's all academic. We all know that the war in Gaza is going to end eventually. It'll all be over as soon as every last Palestinian has exhaled their last breath in the greatest agony possible. And unless the world takes action todaywhich it won't — that's exactly what's going to happen.

Pay attention, everyone, so you can tell your children. It doesn't happen every day that an entire population is being systematically wiped out. Forget the history classes about the Holocaust. That's just text in a book, while you can now watch the whole fucking thing happening in real-time on your TV. Enjoy your popcorn while real limbs and severed heads are flying around in full color and ultra-high definition. And don't worry too much, because it's only brown people that die.

That was a bit of sarcasm... The U.S. has veto power but my real point was, "Just how hard did the other nations plead their case to the U.S. to change their position?" I didn't hear any outrage coming from the other players, but if that wasn't heard through the media that would be a legitimate example of ALL media playing to power. Realities and contingencies are all cold and cruel and decisions have to be made. I would never want to be one of the doers. No way, no how because undoubtedly idealism dies an excruciating death, at least in some cases. In others, idealism only applies to power and its unmitigated use.
