So it was starting to slowly eat away at me that I wasn't looking at this horrific event in the proper light...

Yes, I knew on a very cursory level that self immolation was a thing, like the Vietnam era monk for instance, and unfortunately mixed into that shallow understanding was also contaminations of the subject from typical msm sources, such as mental illness and the like.

So I wound up doing a bit of a deep dive on the phenomena today, almost unconsciously in fact not really even trying, sometimes that just happens when things like this come up, and at like a DNA type of level I realize I'm woefully ignorant about whatever it may be and the empty cup gets filled.

Went looking for the raw footage of this incredibly brave young man Aaron Bushnell more out of just idle curiosity than anything else, and must admit I'm a bit ashamed of myself for posting about this in the way that I did.

There's a long history to this extreme form of protest as Aaron put it, it certainly is a proven method of getting the world's attention on a subject when nothing else seems to stick, and it's now dawning on me the true gravity of what it must take to drive a person of good conscience to do something like this.

How deeply they must feel, and care. I can't imagine. Talk about levels of empaths, they literally cannot live with it and this is their way of screaming it out to the world to get us to "see"...

So Glen Greenwald has done his usual due diligence in laying this out, along with the usual shallow hypocrisy of the West in celebrating this event when it serves to highlight something that happens to compliment a current selfish interest - ignoring and/or even casting aspersions upon it when it doesn't.

And "Democracy Now" seems to be hit or miss any more these days, mostly miss IMO, but here they give us a pretty good insight into who Aaron Bushnell was.

This even is reverberating around the Middle East, they've taken due notice. Of course our shit media here would never put light on something like that, but history may prove out that there may be more to this event than meets the current eye.

I now truly honor what this thoughtful and courageous young man did, and hopefully it was not in vain. His voice never quivered, he never even hesitated. Remarkable...

That insipid whine of those who, in unison, and VERY loudly, ask,"what did it accOMPlish?'

It accomplished one hell of a lot. Not only is it Christ like sacrificial act, it redeems Americans, somewhat, in the eyes of the world.

The Arab world realizes they aren't alone, that many in the Western world stand with them, against the monsters.

    Rest in Power, Aaron Bushnell.

I can see being moved by such an act but this is a bullshit presentation. What is the point of this? Consistency is not the hallmark of any human brain and its given output. Obama? So what does he have to say about Bushnell? It is very difficult to reconcile the two poles of the Hegelian Dialectic.

Historically, Saints who have sacrificed themselves possessed a very peculiar characteristic...More speculation than actual established scientific fact, it has been claimed that such people possess a deficient nervous system - Hypoesthesia.

Bushnell's act was very heroic and likely the product of a very disturbed mind. One overwhelmed by pain and conspiracies. May he rest in peace...perhaps, at last. One could also wish that it would have an impact on humanity and the military decision-makers. I highly suspect it won't matter one iota...What is another dead body in war? Not jack poopoo.

With this type of logic becoming the norm, I'm about ready to start considering whether these people might actually a whole different sub set of humans. Or maybe even possessed, under a spell, something along those lines because they sure as hell ain't like me.

This is like feeding your best friend an endless supply of Viagra so he can continually rape a poor woman, but eventually offering to step in every now and then to offer her a little food and water as the process continues.

Biden says US to carry out airdrops of aid into Gaza in coming days
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...5d18a5db&ei=21

And I guess we're supposed to be in awe of this tremendous humanitarian gesture as the non stop delivery of bombs continues unabated? OMFG...

Oh, wait, I almost forgot. These good people, the defenders of democracy, have to make sure at all cost that the bad orange man doesn't come back, cos bad things would happen.

The long knives are surely being sharpened

I wonder how long it will be until they start trying to hang the "Anti Semite" banner on him?

It worked with Jeremy Corbyn, but George Galloway is a different bird, if anything I think it might just backfire like the ill fated Russian sanctions.

I liked this kind soul and member of "Code Pink" that Katie Halper interviews from the very start. Polar opposite the cold, dead black beady eyes the likes of Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The world desperately needs this type of counter balance wherever possible, and whenever possible:

Amen sister. Nothing to ad except maybe a needed re-assessment of what "family" really means:

    Paraphrasing

This free speech thing has gone too far now - it's about time to suspend democracy, to save democracy.

And if we think we can find a way to pull off blaming "The Red Boogieman" for these protests against our fine Zionist brothers and sisters who are only trying to defend themselves, we're not ashamed to play that card as well. After all, as that terrorist George Galloway has already expressed to his violent jihadist followers we're two cheeks of the same hind side, and we must stick together through these difficult times.

I've granted police new and unprecedent powers, and we stand by them 100% in whatever they decide is best to stop these extremists who threaten to tear us apart...

    Angry

I don't have a link because I've only just read this in the Flemish public news media, but apparently the Israeli government has just announced that they will be building 3'400 new homes on the west bank of the Jordan river. That's a big fucking middle finger toward the UN and international law.
