Was looking forward to disscussing this facet as it always annoyed me once i overstood the slave or humans as currentsea, but i see in this data that honestly is on the end and agree with it's way n feel >

Just for today, I will do my work honestly
“Kyo dake wa, goo hage me”.
What does this reiki principle mean?
This principle means to be honest and authentic. This is easier said than done but extremely beneficial to your life force. We are all influenced to some degree by modern-day society and what the media says is how we should be. If you start living your own truth will add meaning to your work, if not for others for yourself. You will be more passionate about your work because it’s something that interests you.

How to use this reiki mantra
This principle is perfect for whenever you are feeling insecure about what your course of action should be. You might start looking for advice from others that doesn’t resonate with you. Focus your attention introspectively on your gut feeling, or voice, whilst repeating this mantra three times.

Spose when it hit the west as such, there were a few changes lol.

I like the work or practice diligently translation.
It has more to do with the way you conduct your work or practice.
And in my mind anyway points to the Buddha when he said work out your salvation with diligence.

Being Honest and authentic could be a part of that. But isn't confined to just those 2.
    Have a great day today

    Gokai Gainen

The translation of the Gokai gainen takes some work because of how Japanese is written and how it behaves.
Japanese knows several alphabets if you will and it seems that the Gainen is caligraphed in at least 2 alphabets
Which makes translating it more difficult than it would have been otherwise.
Take the start of the 5 principles which to some is actually the first of 6.

    These translations are found here.
    https://www.romajidesu.com
Which is the site I used just now to do my own translation. I use several others for my own study as well.

As Japanese is context dependant all we westerners so far have to go on is other people translations, which may be false or incorrect.
ANd or what has come to us thorugh students of Usui, The Gakkai, or through students of students who used Usuis's method to develop their own forms and change the name slightly.
Take for instance usui Reiki Ryoho as the gakai calls it. Usui Reiki Shiki Ryoho as hayashi, tekata, and the reiki alliance called it.

    今日丈けは
    Kyou dake wa.
    or rather
    kyō takeke wa

    Kon can mean:

It is said that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day.
    3. counter for days
    And Ka means:
    1. day of month
    2. counter for days

    Then we have dake
    which means:
    1. only; just; as
    お忘れになっただけかと思いました
    You might have just forgotten.

    は= Ke
    which could mean:
1 lacking substance and existing in name only; something without substance

    You'll need a temporary bridge
2 house (e.g. of Tokugawa); family

    怒るな
    Ikaru Na

    怒る = Okoru or ikaru

where 怒or Ika means anger and るmeans exile.
    Ikaru or both together means:
    1. to get angry; to get mad
    2. to tell someone off; to scold
    3. to be angular; to be square

    な = Na
    1. I
    2. You
    3. (used with dictionary form verb) prohibition
    4. (used with masu stem verb) command
    5. (sentence end, mainly masc.) indicates emotion or emphasis
    6. (ceremony of) driving out evil spirits
    7. name; reputation
    8. seven or hepta-
    9. rape (Brassica napus); rapeseed
    10. greens; vegetables
Some are of course more in line with the context than anger, But for a feelgood moment you could ague that You don’t want to become mad at rapeseeds and assorted vegetables.
Which lead me to my goto music when I’m down and need some vegetable love.
