Hey Aianawa,

I have had thoughts about Reiki myself. How Reiki is it's own meandering energy-form circling the earth.
These days though I see Reiki more as just a name for spiritual development as practiced by Usui Sensei and his students.

That said I do wonder how you view the symbols and their usage.

Did a symbol back to front for years, now back to original form, any to wee difference sensed, ones own mind control n know thyself creates n evolves the SOC so yes, have seen Reiki, Qi Gong etc as rods down ones spine ( faueca comes to mind ) bound rods, now forming as a awakening tool-s indeed together.

See the symbol on the right?
This is the trinity shrine on mount kurayama (where usui meditated for 21 days)
Its a shrine from the Kurama-Kokyo Buddhist sect.

I think you'll see the similarities with the right symbols..

21 is hugely important, what was your story told regards why he was meditating for 21, and or also what he was doing prior ?.

Supposedly Usui was having a few streaks of bad luck / Karma. Failing to attain enlightenment. He remembered the buddha vow. I will sit here and find the end or suffering or die trying.
I believe some teacher had said to him he should be willing to give it all up. That's when he decided to fast en meditate on Mount Kuruyama.
After 21 days of determened practice he had a spiritual experience, Satori or Anshin Ritsumei ?

The significance of 21 is old to have different meanings. The most common is a so called 21 day cleanse one goes through after receiving a Reiki attunement.
I'd like to think of it as important because it takes roughly 21 days to get comfortable with a regular practice. I am not sure about the 21 day cleanse.

Prior to that Usui was studying some esoteric buddhism most probably Tendai buddhism laced with a little Shinto

Nice, I hope you enjoy it as much as you did Reiki 1. Distant healing is nice, but wait till you find that you can send through time to parts of self as well.

Well nowadays tisa hard to know the truths of back in his time, once from differing sources, say twenty years ago, collecting old manuscripts was his known thing but seeing the data from others you shared, gosh unsure now. as humans we learn from arkeytypes and usualllly it was twenty, using fingers n toes, 21st 12 2012 allowed the 21st arkeytype huunab ku to arise, 12 x 12 = 144= 21 x 21 = 441.

We hear for many decades or more now, about the 144 or 144 000, the begetting some say, 144 x 144 = 20736 a 9 a completion number like 441x 441 = 194481, add them imo both for a the mirror = 21 5 21 7.

Have you noticed that the activation for self-healing too would last for a month after the initiations?

Yes I do believe the state of consciousness matter. If any goal is involved.

As for your caveat view of consciousness...
I no longer think that I, or you or anyone here, or on the other Forums are thinking very different.
I have met many a Human being who given a conversation does in fact come to very similar conclusions on how to behave and act.
Some of the more "seemingly stupid and sheepish" ones have shown me behavioral patterns that I could learn from.

I like where you are going concerning where consciousness resides.
You might like some of the abhidhamma. A buddhist text on what consciousness is and how it comes into being.

I think I get it Cats...one doesn't need to be consciously aware, yet there it is and it doesn't matter whether good or bad. At some point things integrated into self become unconscious...it is the process that matters.

That is to in part, what I have people do to resolve their early childhood issues or any issue from the past to loosen the trauma energy in the present. Especially if people have PTSD. We cannot change the physical past but cushion it so the effect on the cells isn't so severe.

Which makes me wonder how much this has to do with it.
